Image Space Incorporated released the Honda NSX for rFactor 2.

The Honda NSX (or Acura NSX in the United States) was originally build between 1990 and 2005. During its developed the engineers of Honda used the expertise of two Formula One drivers (Nakajima and Senna).

Especially the Brazilian world champion had a big impact as Honda's main innovator in convincing the company to stiffen the NSX chassis further after initially testing the car at Honda's Suzuka GP circuit in Japan

rFactor 2's virtual car comes in two versions as a NSX and a NSX-R and includes a wide range of 28 different configuration options where users can select engines, gearing, suspension, tires and much more. :geek:

Physics is awesome as always. Spot on. Performance and optimization is not... Some strange issues with missing faces on the tires, like triangular cut outs, both in replay and looking at other cars in race. Also a grid of 20 ai starting at the back at lime rock renders a whopping 95% GPU usage at, compared to 65% for the skip barbers, with 25 ai for the skippys... This despite the skippys having more detail.

So the visual modeling needs some optimization work for sure. The ai seems to suck at driving it as well, braking like mad all the time.

But the base car is very well represented, physics and dynamics wise, and thus is good for hot lapping.

Not surprised ISI servers are down, people are learning of how good this car is, and it should be a lesson to ISI what can happen when good cars/products are built, there's a demand fueled by the existence of the product and further flamed by support from experienced sim racers all across the www.
