F1 2010 Hockenheim - Germany (Dry)

F1 2010 The Game (Codemasters)
Haven't posted a setup before but been trying to get a car that handles at this track and none listed give me that feel mid corner so I have ended up with this one.
The gear ratio's need adjusting a little bit in the Lotus in career it is doing 1:18 on Primes.
Let me know what you think ;)

Hi everyone i'm new entry :D
I'm not Lewis Hamilton hihihi !!!
My setup is good for me,(with mclaren)but i wanted to know your opinion.
Excuseme for my english..i'm italian !!!

I'm running a lotus in career (legend ai, only assist = medium TC, tyre, fuel sim on) and I just can't seem to get good traction on this track, lots of wheelspin when accelerating, understeer, average times only around 1.21. iirc (on options, havent broken out the primes yet though)

Tried most the setups in this thread, just not workin for me yet...guess i'ma have to put in lotsa track time to get this one right :p

Lotus "Time Trial Setup"

I just did a "test" session in Time Trial for Hockenheim (Dry) using a Lotus. I know I'm not the fastest/best but I was happy with this setup.

Here it is so give it a try and see what you can do with it.

The time I posted was 1m 19.883s

This was on my PC with an X-Box 360 controller. Sorry to say it was in noob mode.. as I'm still trying to get used to this thing.
I will give it a go with the settings altered to make it somewhat harder for me and then see what I can post with it. No doubt there are people on here who could and will "cream" that time with that setup too.
I had a good clean line all the way through and it stuck like the proverbial to a blanket(!) to the track too with no rear end stepping out either. The speed was held through the infield section as it was dropping down too much in the turns before. Now it mainly stays in 4th and 5th as before I was dropping into 3rd on some of the turns as the speed dropped off, hence the tweaking on the gears.
Some of you may not like the gears, they may be too low for you but I was redlining at about 300kph before the hairpin so I upped 7th gear to stop that from happening. I also set 1st for the hairpin this way too so it wouldn't drop off too much as this allowed a faster pickup through the gears.

Let me know how you get on with this as I'd be interested to see what others can do.

1.13.9xx with Lally's, could do a low 1.13. or even a high 1.12. With Lucky's i got to 1.14.5xx . Will check out Raelton's as well as it looks promising. Done in time trial on x360 with a Fanatec Turbo S and the clubsport pedals. Thanks guys!

i've just run it like, dunno, ten minutes ago, my first impression of the track is that, well, i'm 1st at the championship with lotus, i rejected an offer recently for next season with them, i lost a race, Montecarlo, i crashed into a wall after chicane, but well, this circuit is very simple according to another circuits before, is fast, but not that fast as melbourne or silverstone, but without setting up the car, my best time in free practice 1 was 1.19.6xx, but i think in next sessions they're gonna run in those times i think, my first sector is about 00:16:8xx, i think braking in the first corner isn't that necessary as it seems, is more like brake 'n' go, catch the angle an accelerate 'til 2nd corner, that's a different one, but it doesn't seems difficult, at least when you go on practices!! i recommend that, if you're on lotus, just put fast in your engine, leave the medium brakes and 50-50 but, put 2 places left in every gearbox but 6 which is 1 place left and 7 too. amazing, if you want more speed, just low the wings to 3 in front, 1 in rear, and go switching to match your racing style! good luck racers!

Hey guys! New guy here! This big fat American took Raelton's setup, with a few personal tweaks and spun a 1:14.6 with an almighty Mclaren a give it a try.

Personally I've noticed alot of speed for me comes with tweaking the alignment. Its a vital balance of stability, turn in and acceleration.

Let me know how it works out!

which platform are you using...? i'm driving a 1:13:7 1 time, mostly constantly i'm driving in the 1:14:2 or 3 .. i know first sector time is by me 16,000 i'm using a ps3 with logitech gt drive force steering wheel... i can upload my car setup later

Great Setup:)

the secret of this track is S2... The set-up will help you on S3 and on the fast parts but you will have to be very technical in S2. take the hairpin on 2nd gear and on the corners in front of the grandstand break hard and release it sonner so you can turn in with enough speed. those two corners worth almost a second. 1.19.1xx with my custom Set-up (Lotus on Prymes in career), it's not posted here but for what i can see it's quite different. i thinks is because i like my car to feel stable on the rear... so. i'll post it later.

ill try this one with my s2 career lotus :)

well couldnt drive with that one so i made my own.
1:19:8xx was my best time with primes and guess could be done much faster with options.
