Rules:
If you have not entered the server and driven a few laps with fellow drivers before we go to qualifying you are to late for that session. Please think of your fellow drivers and get out on track with them, watch how they drive, you can't race with guys you have not seen drive.
We ALL brake a little differently and drive the corners differently, get used to how they drive and then we can all race more safely.
If you drop out of the server during qualifying you can return.

This is being held in our Club, using Club Rules, and should be driven in that spirit.

For the race you are only obligated to change 4 tyres if you want to also do your fuel that is up to you.
this race and on Thursday is to prepare us for Sunday.
we may need a bit of practice at the formation lap also.
we will see how race 1 goes, but maybe in the practice session for race 2 we can do a couple of starts.

I think I'm gonna run full race fuel from the start because the pit crew fuel the car and change the tyres separately. It seems like ages while you're sat in the pits. It'll mean adjusting the the amount of fuel to be added via the LCD mode but I'm not sure when the best time to do this would be? I'll try it later but I suspect I can do it either whilst driving down the pit lane or perhaps whilst the crew are changing the tyres?

Edit: You can change the strategy to one stop on the first page of the garage tab and also bring the fuel to be added down to one litre.

I wanted to do the same, problem is the amount you set in the LCD is not the amount that will be added but the amount that you will have when leaving the pits so to not add any fuel you'd had to know exactly how much fuel you will have when entering the box.
I tested this yesterday, set fuel to 15 in box, done a lap and went in with about 14 litres left and the LCD set to 1 litre. What the pitcrew has done was reduce (don't ask me how lol) the fuel to 1 litre instead of adding.

So best would be to take half the fuel before, half after the stop or to take some for the full race, but still set the LCD to about half a race worth of gas so you minimize the standing time.
Getting 4 new tyres takes about 65 seconds.

ok let me check this bit.

in your plr file in game setting we have the lines
Race Stint Offset="0" // Offset each scheduled pitstop in case you want to carry extra fuel
Relative Fuel Strategy="0" // Show how much fuel to ADD, rather than how much TOTAL fuel to fill the tank up to
Smart Pitcrew="1" // Pitcrew does things even if you mistakenly forgot to ask (one example is changing a damaged tire)
Automatic Pit Menu="4" // brings up pit menu automatically: 0=disabled, 1=upon pit ENTRY, change cockpit menu but do not bring up HUD, 2=pit ENTRY->cockpit & HUD, 3=pit REQUEST->cockpit menu only, 4=pit REQUEST->cockpit & HUD

i think with the red section by changing it to 1 its all about how much fuel you want to put in the tank as opposed to how much to fill up the tank..

Thank you guys for signing up early,
i know i ask this allot but please sign up if your going to race,
Remember sim drivers are like sheep.. Baaaar Baaaaaaar
once they see a few sign up they all sign up...
Dont be afraid to be the first to sign up the numbers will grow and you do have permission to not race if your the only one;)

This was an interesting test race, not least because these Escorts are...not the most forgiving or stable cars. After knocking in some good times earlier in the day, it took me ages to get anywhere near my previous times, possibly because I was trying too hard. So, to the races!

Q1 I messed up (quelle surprise!), so I started just in front of the non-qualifying @Yves Larose & @Jarek Kostowski. With those 2 aliens passing me as the green lights faded away:alien:, I just tried to drive clean. Which means I side swiped the barriers after a mistake coming through the last chicane:unsure:. With accidents and off-road experiences in front, I crept up the standings, and took my pit stop around lap 5. One 172 second pitstop later , I stormed back onto the track. With all the other stops, I think I managed to come 7th .

Q2: I somehow managed to stay on the track, and picked up 5th on the grid:confused:. That didn't last too long, and my cause wasn't helped when I couldn't avoid a helplessly spinning @Allan Ramsbottom :poop: Like a good chap, he waited for me, though it wasn't his fault  Unfortunatley, when I came in for my pit stop, Allan was in the highlighted pitbox getting repairs . As I pulled out of the pit lane, I went too fast and received a S'n'G :( At this point I gave up :poop:

Good races though, it's certainly thrown up a few issues that need checking, such as the pit box problem. TBH, I can't see any point to the parade lap either, just my 2p.

Thanks to @Rupe Wilson, @Steven Walker & @Yves Larose for arranging these races, and RD for the servers.
