Rules:
If you have not entered the server and driven a few laps with fellow drivers before we go to qualifying you are to late for that session. Please think of your fellow drivers and get out on track with them, watch how they drive, you can't race with guys you have not seen drive.
We ALL brake a little differently and drive the corners differently, get used to how they drive and then we can all race more safely.
If you drop out of the server during qualifying you can return.

This is being held in our Club, using Club Rules, and should be driven in that spirit.

The cars are a lot of fun to drive.
What a pity there are so many DNF in many races.
Can we avoid this?

Hi Rene
The cars are great I agree. I think it's important to take note of the safe rev limmit. It's mentioned in HistorX hints & tips found here, bullet point 9. I find it best to shift 1000 rmp or so lower than the limmit to allow a safety margin. On some cars the gas pedal is sensitive and I've dammaged engines whilst blipping on downshift. So, I try to keep the blips light and avoid them all together where not completely necessary. @Jarek Kostowski has made the point about lifting off the gas as the car goes over a crest.

Edit: Dont rely on the rev light on the dashboard either, they can lead to engine faliure too.

Basically, we have to try not to exceed the rev limmit AT ALL if possible. This is really difficult, especially whilst trying to race, I know. Last night I made it home in both races but one blip after the finish resulted in blown engines both times. It's a very fine line I agree, but all the more rewarding when you get it right.

looking back over all most a complete month of Historix racing,I was starting to lose the fun in racing,I did 20 races an fin only 8 of them, most of it where blown engines at start or in race when going of track, there where moments I would throw away my wheel:poop:
Yesterday fin both races, not without trouble,R1 hit a wall had a flat tire limpet back to the pits an stay there for 174 sec! but fin the race P5 ??:)

R2 after a careful start with the Capri i lost sound on my headphone so make a stop looking for a second one an resume the race an did fin again...

So I hope this will turn around the trouble I did have...:whistling:

A bout the lag on track I saw in the video that I was lagging to, but did not notice it myself, maybe track related ?

So looking forward to the next race an hold my fingers crossed...;)

Qualification start time: GMT 19:30 free laps
Race start time: GMT 19:50 (18 laps + 1 formation lap)

Formation lap procedure:
When the green light will appear the formation lap will start, the pole sitter will then take the field around the track in a single line at a speed of 80 KMH. during the formation lap you can safely wave gently to heat the tires but it is forbidden to accelerate or brake excessively , it is require to maintain a safe distance from the car in front of you of at least one car length. Pitstop and penalty:
During the course of the race you might receive a penalty, for those who are not familiar with rFactor you can either receive a drive through or stop and go penalty, in the case of a drive through penalty simply drive through the pit lane under the pit speed limit and resume racing once out of the pit lane. In the case of a stop and go penalty when you will enter the pit lane the pit menu will appear do not do anything simply stop in your pit box and when told drive out under the pit speed limit and resume racing once out of the pit lane.

to make a pit stop as smooth as possible it is recommended to map the keys you want to use to navigate through the pitstop menu or look at the default keys that are set, it is also recommended to modify your PLR file the following way:
under
[ Game Options ]
Relative Fuel Strategy="0" // Show how much fuel to ADD, rather than how much TOTAL fuel to fill the tank up to
Smart Pitcrew="0" // Pitcrew does things even if you mistakenly forgot to ask (one example is changing a damaged tire) Change from 1 to 0
Automatic Pit Menu="4" // brings up pit menu automatically: 0=disabled, 1=upon pit ENTRY, change cockpit menu but do not bring up HUD, 2=pit ENTRY->cockpit & HUD, 3=pit REQUEST->cockpit menu only, 4=pit REQUEST->cockpit & HUD
