Rules:
If you have not entered the server and driven a few laps with fellow drivers before we go to qualifying you are to late for that session. Please think of your fellow drivers and get out on track with them, watch how they drive, you can't race with guys you have not seen drive.
We ALL brake a little differently and drive the corners differently, get used to how they drive and then we can all race more safely.
If you drop out of the server during qualifying you can return.

This is being held in our Club, using Club Rules, and should be driven in that spirit.

Please Note
on this track there is 2 exceptions to the usual 2 wheels must remain inbetween the the 2 white lines rule, below you have a pic of the exit of turn 3 and turn 6. on both corner you are allow to run as the pics shows meaning you can have the four wheels on the other side of the white line.

Event details:
Number of laps: 48 (Approx. 90 minutes)
Fuel usage multiplier: 3x
Tire wear multiplier: 3x
practice start time: GMT 19:00 (20 mins)
Qualification start time: GMT 19:20 (15 minutes free lapping)
Race start time: GMT 19:35 (48 laps)

Pitstop and penalty:
During the course of the race you might receive a penalty, for those who are not familiar with rFactor you can either receive a drive through or stop and go penalty, in the case of a drive through penalty simply drive through the pit lane under the pit speed limit and resume racing once out of the pit lane. In the case of a stop and go penalty when you will enter the pit lane the pit menu will appear do not do anything simply stop in your pit box and when told drive out under the pit speed limit and resume racing once out of the pit lane.

to make a pit stop as smooth as possible it is recommended to map the keys you want to use to navigate through the pitstop menu or look at the default keys that are set, it is also recommended to modify your PLR file the following way:
under
[ Game Options ]
Relative Fuel Strategy="0" // Show how much fuel to ADD, rather than how much TOTAL fuel to fill the tank up to
Smart Pitcrew="0" // Pitcrew does things even if you mistakenly forgot to ask (one example is changing a damaged tire) Change from 1 to 0
Automatic Pit Menu="4" // brings up pit menu automatically: 0=disabled, 1=upon pit ENTRY, change cockpit menu but do not bring up HUD, 2=pit ENTRY->cockpit & HUD, 3=pit REQUEST->cockpit menu only, 4=pit REQUEST->cockpit & HUD
Miscellaneous="0"

Important please read carefully

Pits entry/exit

on this track the pits entry and exit is very tricky, for the pits entry it is mandatory to map a quick chat key that say " your name is pitting" that have to be activeted between turn 8 and 9. As for the pits exit it is the responsability of the driver exiting the pits to make a safe re-entry, it is recommanded that you don't re-enter at full speed if you don't use the virtual mirror or if you don't have a plug-in that have a track map that show where everyone is on the track, the cars that are on track have the priority of the racing line.

Track bounderies

158268Trackmap.png

even if its track that run in-between walls there are a few corners where cutting is possible so here's the rules that have to be follow on this track. at turn 1 and 2 (chicane after the start) you can use the kurbs like shown in the pics below but you can't run over the top of the kurbs.
454067Chicane1.png

378226Chicane2.png

at turn 6 and 7 two wheels must remain inside the end of black part that is beside the kurbs like shown in the pics below.
340963Cutting1.png

530605Cutting2.png

those are the only exceptions on the track everywhere else 2 wheels must remain between the 2 yellow lines except for the straight between turn 7 and 8, the wall on that straight is the track boundery.
Red Zones

232473RedZones.png

What is a red zone, its a part(s) of the track where side by side or over taking are very difficult to make or simply too dangerous to do that could result in big crashes and end your race so they are there to make the race more secure for you and others so obey them.

the first red zone is the chicane after the start/finish line, the car that is infront at mid distance of the pit exit (see pic below) have the corner so it means that the other car must fall behind. if your not sure which car is infront of the other the car that is on the racing line have the corner so fall behind.

878005Redzone1.png

the second red zone is at turn 8, its a fast and narrow right ender, the car that is infront at the 150 brake marker (see pic below) have the corner the other must fall behind. Again if your not sure who is infront the car that is on the racing line have the corner so the other must fall behind.

181701Redzone2.png

on the first lap the field will be bunch up and very close so be very careful and expect people to brake earlier especially at the 2 red zones.

Words of wisdom from Yves Larose

this is an enduro race on a tight track surrounded by walls so the key on this track during the race is to push just enought to have a good pace and stay clear of the walls and avoid spinning. the first lap will be critical so be extra careful and patient you won't win the race on the first lap but it will most certainly gives you a good chance to finish the race and even gain some positions as some people always over do it and end their race in a wall.

the pit strategy will be important as you will have to pit 2 times and my experience with rFactor regarding tires wear is that running below 40% left on the tires don't pay much so i advice you to test and see where is the drop zone of the tires and come up with the best strategy. it can make you gain one or more positions if you have a good pit strategy.

Finally i want to wish good luck to everybody that will join the event and thank you for joining. Also a big thank to Rupe Wilson and Steven Walker for allowing me to organise all of the last week events (Sandown and Townsville) for my birthday (June 10th)
