Help Needed

Hi,my fps are very low with everything turned down low,I'm getting 45 fps with one car and it's 27 with
10 cars,online it's 24 what do I need to upgrade
computer specs
Amd Phenom11x4 processor@3.3ghz 8gb ram
Amd Radon HD 6570 Graphics card
Any help would be great cheers

Your graphics card is the bottleneck. AC is very demanding graphically, I suspect because it has not been optimised (since other 'new gen' racing games run at higher frame rates and still look good).

You need to check what 'slot' you have available before attempting to upgrade the card. Most newer cards require a PCI-e v3.0 x16 slot, but will still work in a PCI-e v2.1 x16 slot. They will not work in an x4 slot though, for example, which was an issue I had with my old motherboard.

High end graphics cards tend to draw more power, so check you have a decent PSU in the system to avoid overheating the power supply. A Corsair 600W+ is usually good enough, but if you need to buy a new one go for 700W+ to future proof it.

I'm not going to get into the NVidia v ATI war that always rages when people ask for graphic card recommendations. There are many comparison sites out there, so decide on a budget, make a list of the cards available at that price and then check the performance figures online before making a final decision.

A decent card to run AC at average frame rates will probably cost around £150UKP/$200US

A card to run it with very high settings will be in the £300/$500US range+

You have a very old and poor Graphics card. Start with that.

Thanks Guys,I'll see the guy who I'm buying it off,he builds computers and brought this one down to try it out,there's plenty of room in the tower so hopefully wont be a problem
plus he's in the trade so he can get some discount,will start of with a graphics card then don't mind spending £300 cant wait to see the difference thanks very much for the advice

In that case, you'll be looking for something like an NVidia GTX970 or an AMD R9 290X as long as the Motherboard can cope. With both brands, higher numbers are better

To future-proof it, try to get one with 4GB of onboard GDDR5 RAM.

The prices for those start around £290 on places like Amazon, so you should be able to get it cheaper if he gets a discount.

If budget is right, that would be fine. Even just 8Gb RAM would be fine too, I believe. My system's very similar (previous generation, i5-4670k, 16Gb RAM, and GTX970) and runs fine with pretty High settings.
