Headset ideas?

Hi all,

i managed to kill my Sennheiser PC151 today. So far actually a super headset, but today I decided to try out the mic on it after 5 years of usage (was before using the one of my web cam, which might be the source of my teamspeak issues). Bad idea.....

The wire for the mic was broken, google research and this seems to be a common issue with that headset. Thought this should be easy to fix, but a) last time i used a soldering iron must have been 20 years ago b) the soldering iron I had at hand was not the right weapon c) my eyes are also not anymore the same like 20 years ago or the wires get tinier.... anyway mic works but the headset is ****ed up ;). I need a new one!

Any suggestions?

I do not like those, that cover the ears completely, should be one sitting on the ear. No in ear plugs.
How are wireless headsets for gaming?

Thanks!

I have wireless, got a few months now and i love it, a cable less to worry about; ).
The one i have is the steelseries h series, a bit pricy but this was the best for me back then, also to use for tv, Playstation etc.

I would consider buying good ON-Ear headphones and adding good microphone to it.
Its harder to find good ON-Ear headphones compared to Over the Ear designs.

Depending on your budget:
-Vmoda XS->http://www.head-fi.org/products/v-moda-xs
-Philips Fidelio M1->http://www.whathifi.com/philips/fidelio-m1mkii/review
-Sennheiser Momentum V1->http://www.head-fi.org/products/sennheiser-momentum-on-ear-headphone
-AKG Y50->http://www.head-fi.org/products/akg...-one-button-universal-remote-microphone-black

Microphone depending on headphones and your needs:
-Antlion->http://www.modmic.com/
-Vmoda boompro->http://v-moda.com/boompro-microphone/
-Sony ECMCS3->http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-list...203&sr=1-1&keywords=Sony+ECMCS3&condition=new

Gotta agree, i love my SteelSeries mouse and keyboard and wanted to keep the headset to the same brand, needed to be wireless and they only did one model, but pricey but i'm glad i went for it, i use it for my iPad when watching stuff on trains, PC gaming and PS4 gaming...top headset!
