Have F1 penalties gone too far?

10s penalty is laughable for something the FIA wanted to be so strict against. Either give him a DQ or at least a 30s time penalty. Being instructed on what to do saved his race, being stuck in 7th gear could have put him well out of the points.

Now the precedent is set. Teams and drivers can communicate all they want knowing they will only lose 10s. Terrible.
