This skinpack recreates the Haas F1 VF-17 car for the Formula Hybrid 2017 mod for Assetto Corsa. The custom car textures are matching the S1 version of the car, but the standard 'finn-less' version works, too.

Great skin! The only feedback I could give is the missing yellow tcam for the second driver.

I'll add the tcam color in the next update sometime after the first race. While pre-season testing they didn't use different tcam colors. ;) In the meantime you could use the standard finn-less version for a colored tcam!

While creating this beauty i discovered some small flaws with the 3D-model:
  1. the S-duct has no inlet on the underside of the nose,
  2. there is no crash cam on the chassis top infront of the stweering wheel facing the drivers helmet,
  3. the model has an unnesseary beam wing besides the rainlight.
The last 2 points only apply if you want to fully replicate a car for a certain championship. :p

  2. there is no crash cam on the chassis top infront of the stweering wheel facing the drivers helmet,
  3. the model has an unnesseary beam wing besides the rainlight.
The last 2 points only apply if you want to fully replicate a car for a certain championship. :p

1. the S-duct has no inlet on the underside of the nose,

Regarding the S-Duct ,
90% Of it , is all cut and detailed , Right into the chassis ,
Just under the front nose part , I never added it because the project stands now at 255k Triangles ,
Would have been at least another 4-500 poly maybe ,

But at one point the car was at 500,000 Tri ,
And spent weeks and weeks on all the hubs and crap ,

People are like wow look at all this detail , to me there is non we had to remove everything sadly ,
project would have been over 320k finished ,

So had to make a lot of choices regarding these extra details ,
All the nose was animated too , but had a crazy shadow bug , in the showrooms ,

2 .there is no crash cam on the chassis top infront of the stweering wheel facing the drivers helmet,
Not sure regarding this detail , maybe we can look into it at some point .

3. the model has an unnesseary beam wing besides the rainlight.
Regarding this beam wing ,
It wasnt clear in the manual to this object ,
just measurements , Was only clear to us , once we saw all the 2017 cars at launch , that they had no beam wing ,
I also had a monkey seat that we removed too , but some cars now have this ,

The beam wing , does not say in the rules if you can add this or not add this ,
The car meets the rules to the mm ,
This part we added , but obviously teams removed it to improve aero :)

As you can see from this one area ,
The amount of work and details we had on the project , was just mind blowing , but had to be removed ,

I have over 700 3ds max files for the project , Most parts on the car are like V3, V4 , I have loads and loads of developed parts with different shapes ect ,
Maybe one day we can update another version maybe a S2 lets just see how things are in the future :)

No problem at all, just a bit of 'quality' nitpicking. ;) Saving Tri's in non visual or barley visual parts is important.
The crash cam and the ban of the beam wing is something that was already introduced with the 2016 rulebook. Here is an article about that crash cam.
 
Thanks for your fabulous skin in amazing quality ! Might be a silly question but are the tyres available in 2k and 4K to match the car, as details look so much sharper on the car itself.

I might release a Pirelli tire texture pack in 1K & 2K, in compliance with the RSS tires. And 4K tires aren't an option, as the Pirelli texture is only not blurred in about 3% of the time while driving. ;)
 
So after some time the Haas skin update is taking shape.
First one to show is the Barcelona version. The white Monaco and post-races version should follow within 24h. I plan to release the update just in time for sundays race.
