Alright when was that again.....?

When the Mclaren was released, we were flooded with comments about how loooonnnnng it appeared. What about the Merc? The Ren...I mean Alpine? One would assume they have very similar dimensions due to the same equipment required by all the cars. Are these luxo-yachts as well?

No, those two remind us of hatchbacks. The McLaren was too long, looked ridiciulous like a stretch-limo.

I'm not sure I like the colour on this one. I was expecting more towards the traditonal racing green. Perhaps it's just the renderings but this looks to be more on the side of teal similar to what we saw on the mercedes in the early teens.

You guys don't deliver. Aston and Haas already launched their cars, yet no new article on RD.
True, true, true. Can I ask you guys to help us out instead? If you see news that we miss out of: climb in your pen, type a great article and send me a pm with a link to it and ill make sure it gets featured on the frontpage.

That we are currently slow on news means we have other stuff to do that is more important at the moment but take my promiss that will improve soon again and make you all proud. We are only a small team running a very very very big site where a lot of stuff happens and I can only beg for a little patience.

So if you wish to help, please do so and start creating unique and cool content and ill make sure the world reads it :)

Deal?

BRG + pink is a pretty funny combination that looked kinda weird at first glance but after getting used to it, it doesn't actually loook half bad.

Good to have BRG back in F1 though

Hello all, recently me and my friends have started to do endurance racing on ACC and so far we are really enjoying it. But as much as we all love ACC we are just wanting a bit more. For a while now we all have really wanted to do a 24 hour race at Le Man. Obviously the track is not in ACC and the only sim I know that runs a public 24 hour race around le man is on IRacing. Me personally would like to get IRacing but we just cannot afford the sim. So I was wondering if anyone else knew of any other public servers that run a 24 hours of le man on different games. I am pretty sure RFactor 2 runs them but my friends don't like the way RFactor feels. If anyone has any info that would be greatly appreciated.

Haas F1 Team has announced a new title sponsorship with Russian chemical company, Uralkali at its 2021 livery launch.
  • The team has launched the livery that is expected to feature on its VF-21 challenger this season.
  • With this the Uralkali Haas F1 Team duo Schumacher and Mazepin look set to race in white, red and blue.
  • The livery has drawn much debate amidst the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) announcing that it would be looking into the design.
The American team announced their title sponsorship agreement with Uralkali at the launch event for their new livery. Uralkali is a Russian chemicals company, headed up by Dmitry Mazepin, father of the team's 2021 driver Nikita Mazepin. The VF-21 itself will be first seen at preseason testing next week in Bahrain.

The new new colour scheme is a step away from the grey, red and black designs that fans have become accustomed to seeing on the Haas, with the exception of course being during Rich Energy's sponsorship of the team. The white, red and blue colours on this year's car reflect the colours of the Russian flag.

Speaking about the deal, team owner, Gene Haas seemed eager for Haas to move towards the front of the grid ahead of F1's new regulations coming into play from 2022:

“I’m very pleased to welcome Uralkali to Formula 1 as title partner to Haas F1 Team,” said team owner Gene Haas.
“We look forward to representing their brand throughout the season. It’s definitely a case of all change but I’m hoping that we get back to being in the mix for scoring some points at these races.
“It’s been a tough couple of seasons, but we’ve also got our eye on the bigger picture, in particular 2022 and the implementation of the new regulations.”

The striking new livery has however been called into question. A recent ruling by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), states that Russian athletes would be banned from competitive sport for a period of two years. This came after the WADA investigated claims of state-sponsored doping at the 2014 Winter Olympics hosted by Russia at Sochi.

This ruling requires athletes from Russia to participate as "neutral athletes". The Russian Automobile Federation (RAF) confirmed that the ruling does extend to FIA championships, meaning Mazepin cannot race under his national flag this season.

The significance in terms of the livery is that Russian athletes are also prohibited from using national emblems, flags or symbols on their equipment and clothing. As a car is likely to be considered a part of a driver's equipment, it calls into question whether a Russian driver racing a car featuring national colours will satisfy the CAS ruling.

While the matter is resolved, we can look forward to seeing the team's new car presented at testing next week, where it will be driven by both Mick Schumacher and Nikita Mazepin.

Williams Racing has launched the FW43B, their 2021 challenger.
  • They presented renders on Friday afternoon of the new car in a brand new livery.
  • The FW43B will be driven by an unchanged pairing of George Russell and Nicholas Latifi.
  • Unfortunately the team had to abandon plans to present the car via augmented reality after their app was attacked by hackers.
The car features an aggressive-looking new livery, featuring an unchanged white base, but with orange highlights and two shades of blue used to create a striped pattern on the rear of the car.

This year will be the first time in the team's history that it has begun the season without its founding Williams family at the helm. American investment group Dorilton Capital took over the team in August. The team has since taken on Jost Capito as CEO, who previously headed up Volkswagen's motorsport programme:

“Williams Racing is a sporting icon, and a team that has forged a reputation of success through sheer determination and grit intertwined with innovation, passionate and skilful race-craft and an absolute desire to win.
“Highs and lows are typical in any long-established sporting brand’s journey and historic success can be a strong motivator, but it cannot be relied upon to define future success in the modern era of Formula 1.

“Therefore, we have created a fresh new livery for the 2021 car; one that acknowledges our incredible past and retains the spirit, drive and motivation that remains at the core of Williams’ DNA yet looks to the future and signposts our long-term ambition to return to the front of the grid.
“Whilst we are just starting out on this journey and there is still a lot of work to do, we are happy to see momentum in the right direction and look forward to continuing that progress on track this season.”

The team will also enjoy having Jenson Button onboard the team, having returned to Grove in the capacity of an advisor. Like most of the cars on this year's grid, there are mainly just subtle changes to last year's challengers, aside from the floor.

With that being said, the team did enjoy an improvement in performance as last season went on, and no doubt they will have worked tirelessly this winter to try and keep that run of development form going into preseason testing.

We will be able to enjoy seeing the FW43B take to the track in Bahrain next week, with three of its drivers set to test. Its driver line up for this season, George Russell and Nicholas Latifi will of course feature, as well as the team's test driver Roy Nissany.

I was on Facebook this morning and i saw a pic of Jean Todt and he is primoting a book. Scince he came into F1 i have heard nothing about what he is doing. I saw a small press confrence from his college ¨Chase Carey¨ I think it may have something to do with me being in Canada and outside Europe. I think Just like press confrences with drivers the heads of the FIA should broadcast through SKY TV or whoever to the fans what they are up to and how they are helping the sport. Becuse we the fans want to know what is going on with the FIA and Liberty media.

They are now investigating Haas for displaying the Russian flag as part of their new car livery.

Haas says they cleared it with FIA, but FIA isn't the one having the say here.

The entire world's on fire and they focus on THIS?!? Judging from his behavior, the only thing Mazepin is doping on is Viagra. Cut the crap, let him race for his country. As for the Haas livery (which I like, don't @ me,) hell, it could be a tribute to America. It can be a tribute to Russia. It can be a tribute to Romain Grosjean or the awesomeness of French cuisine.

"I see a white car with red from Haas and blue from 1&1" :)

Money talks, especially in F1; I'm sure the lawyers involved have done their homework. F1 is a "dirty" business, and yes, tobacco in still involved in it if you dig enough.

So, what to do to stop this bad side of F1? Well it's very simple actually: we just have to stop watching, it's a choice we have to make as individuals :)

Have there been such presentations before?
