As we reach the the half way point in the VW Series and try the last of our new mod 67-F1
This week on Tuesday we travel to Kassel Calden Airfield Situated in northern Hesse-Kassel Calden airport is a civilian airport, It was opened in 1970. The longer of the two runways is paved, 1500m long and 30m wide. A shorter grass runway is 700m long. Car and motorcycle races started between 1971 to June 1987 which became known as airfield race. The German Racing Championship was as regularly zugast in Kassel. The layout of the track corresponds to the 1980 version driven by the F2. On Thursday we try the last of our recently made new mods, what we have is a totally new concept for GT Legends. We go back to 1967 to drive a scratch build mod of the F1 cars. Inside the pack we have a 1967 Eagle, Lotus, BRM, Brabham, Cooper, Ferrari, Honda and all handling a little different. We will use 2 tracks from the same period Kyalami 70 and Oesterreichring 70. These fast but open tracks should allow us to drive these cars at speed for our test outing to get a handle on the way they drive. Details of the event can be found

Next week we go back to basics and bring out the TC-65 class for some good old classic racing in the slower cars on interesting tracks and car combinations.
