That didn't work but I just found a link to a NoGrip file in the GT Legends section of the forum which works fine, thanks anyway mate! :)

EDIT: Done a few laps in the Capri on a default setup and managed a 1:36.026. This track is tricky to setup and drive, Friday is going to be VERY interesting! :D
I recommend everyone who is taking part to get some practice in before Friday as there are quite a few sections that will catch people out, for example:

The left hander at the bottom of the hill after the first chicane, breaking early is a must!

The uphill short straight before the really tight and narrow final few corners, keep straight here or you WILL spin as the car looses downforce on the crest!

The final 3 or 4 corners, these are very narrow and pretty tight, more like a country lane than part of a race track! Take it easy here as going flat out will put you into a wall or embankment and most likely out of the race or into a very long pitstop.

Ok guys i've managed to acquire a track plan complete with corner names for you to study. I'll make a note of how I approach each corner to give you some guidance if you need it. Enjoy! :)

Coppice - Let off the throttle here and maybe dab the brakes a little then power out of the exit.

Charlies - Similar to Coppice but more brake required as the exit is slightly tighter and on a downhill slope which can cause you to go wide if you carry too much speed.

Park - Start braking just after the first corner marker as you reach the rubber marks on the track and ease through the corner then power out on the exit.

Chris Curve - Brakes shouldn't be required here, let off the throttle and cruise trough then full power once your are about two thirds to three quarters through the apex.

Gooseneck - The exit of this chicane is tighter than the entry so brake enough to carry safe speed through but not too much so you crawl or too little so you run off on to the grass.

Mansfield - This left hander is at the bottom of a hill which starts after the Gooseneck chicane, brake earlier than normal or risk doing some rally!

The Mountain - The chicane here is tighter than it looks and the hill on the exit needs to be taken straight or you will spin when the car looses downforce on the crest.

Hall Curves and Hairpin - Tight and narrow section, keep the speed down and don't even think about overtaking here, it will end in tears. If there is any a section on a racetrack that will 'kill' overly aggressive drivers, this is it!

Barn - Approach this in the roughly the same way as Park however don't apply full power till you can see the start/finish straight as the exit is tighter than it looks due to the narrow width of the track.

One word of note with regards to the pit lane, if your garage is the first from the perspective of coming in to pit your parking space for pitstops will be more or less on top of the pitlane entry area. To that end I recommend everyone to slow fully BEFORE entering the pitlane so as to not miss their spot as, just to remind you, one pit stop is mandatory during the race and I would hate for any issues to arise once we have started. If you do miss your spot don't try and reverse, exit the pitlane as normal and come in again.

Well guys keep practicing for tomorrow, i'll see you on track :)

Andy

Cheers Gareth :)

Its a pity the ARCA event is running tomorrow night as well as its a shame you and a lot of the other guys wont be able to make it :(

Could I be slightly picky and ask for a car filter to be in place on the server if thats possible, cheers! :)

Yep, Ford RS's only as requested :)

As for me running in a GTL event,
My disk will not even fire up the game, Ive been meaning to get a copy for months and months but have never got around to it yet.

Hi guys,
Can you please use standard skins as with GTL you have to upload them to the server and I dont want to screw around too much with the installation.

Are you positive about this Gareth?
I thought that all drivers had to have the skins installed, but I didn't think the server had to have them though.
Maybe someone else could comment as well eg. Kari.

I'm not too sure about the details of GTL though.

BTW Gareth, I have often seen GTL on EBay.

If anyone uses a skin, then all cars of the same number will look like their skin.
No one else needs the skin, nor does the server.

If on the other hand, its a standalone car, then everyone needs it, including the server.
If its not on the server, you won't get to join. If its on the server but another driver doesn't have it, that persons game, will try its damnedest to load the car.
This brings your game to its knees, if you've got it set up to load only when in pits. The first time you return to pits, you'll never be able to leave again.

I assumed this as I had to install a skinpack for the arbarth event?

I have no way of testing the server myself to see if they are installed correct or not, Another good point. :)

:brancard:

Yup:thumb: this is right! Stand alone car must have in server and if someone dosn't have it, he will end up with infinity loop problem which is shown as "plinking" (spam?) driver name onto your screen.... Same way as it loads every driver. Basically it's contininue loading the driver for ever (infinity loop:)
