Thursdays race was good fun, especially race 2.

Race 1 started with me qualifying in pole position still expecting Antonio to join and give me a run for my money but he missed the first race so it was quite lonely up front. If I had given it a bit more thought I would have started from the back but I didn't. Sorry.

Race 2 saw me getting it a bit wrong here and there in the first lap or two until I got my head around how the Lotus handled again. By this time I had dropped back to mid field and needed to try to catch up to Antonio who was about 10 seconds in the lead. So I took a deep breath and went for it. I quickly made my way through to 2nd place where I could open up the throttle and really start to reel in Antonio. After a few more laps I could see him getting closer to me but before I closed up we started to encounter back markers which meant that we had to slow our pace a little. Well done to all those we lapped. You all drove cleanly and didn't do anything unexpected which made everything a lot easier and safer for both us and you. I was still catching Antonio but on the penultimate lap I got a little over excited coming out of the corkscrew and applied a teeny tiny bit too much throttle which unsettled the back end. I managed to save it but in doing so I got too close to the edge of the track and slipped into the gravel.:poop: Still, I extricated myself as quickly as I could but there were too few laps left to catch Antonio so I settled for 2nd place.

Well done everyone and see you at the next race.:D
