Make sure you are not softening the suspension
so much that you are riding on the bump stops.
Just a thought

If you're using the Bathurst base setup I posted (which is very stiff!), I tried this last night and made a big difference:
All front....
springs 110
roll bar 10
Bump 7
fst bump 4
rebound 6
fst rebound 8
suspension travel front and rear at 70, still playing with this though.

Hope that helps, but be warned, I'm crap with setups

EDIT: Tried the default setup and found almost the same lap time, just a bit twitchy.

That Bathurst version is a rip with flat physical track, AFAI remember.
