On Wednesdays, there is a great opportunity to prepare yourself for this race by joining a MX5 Cup event on the same track. You can learn the racing lines, overtaking spots, and even the braking points in a car that's less demanding than the GT3s -- and you can still have a lot of fun at the same time! Search for the MX5 event in the Calendar or on the RaceDepartment community on simracing.gp.

A message to all Drivers

If you run off track, you have to check to see that its clear before you re enter the track. Do not just keep the gas pinned and pull back on track.

When entering the track from the pits, stay off the racing line until you are up to speed. Do not race on your out lap, let other drivers by. On re-entering the track stay off the racing line until you are up to race speed and do not block any fast approaching car.

Golden Rule
  1. If you hit somebody off the track and carry on like nothing happened, you take the risk of being banned for 30 days.
  2. Instead, you should always wait for the affected drivers, and that way you can be 100% sure you will not get a ban.
Track limits
  1. No more than 2 wheels over the white/yellow line without a lift of the gas please.
You will be penalized if you break our rules
Note: Please use your full real name in Discord. Not doing so may result in you being kicked from the server if an admin cannot identify you as a premium member.

Noice. Oh SGP premiere, but still Teamspeak?

650s

Im signed up on sgp but i have a few random questions.

1. are we starting at 20:00 like it says here or 19:00 like it says on the sgp page?

2. what does the little rpm meter next to our names mean? (Mine says 10rpm)

3. has anyone spotted anything obvious in my driving that i could work on?
Thanks again to chris for hosting and everyone else for being awesome!!

If you go to "event configuration":

So the race server is up from 7pm, qualifying starts at 8:20pm, and the race is at 8:40pm. :)

It's just a cutesy way to show how many contributions you've made on RD.

I know SGP is like still in Beta and stuff, but I am just asking myself, is there a system to prevent non premium members from joining the RD Sunday races? Or is it just like Premium does not have any value anymore other then supporting the community?

You need to be premium to be invited into the S.GP RD community.
Without premium, you won't have access.
And you won't see the passwords.

So nothing really changes, apart from the sign up message in the forums so you always know who you're racing against, if you're interested and look at the threads..

Really? I mean there are also other Communities holding events other then RD and SGP. I though the idea was to make it public to join after the beta phase. Would be much of a hassle and administrative extra work when you have to first make an account here, pay premium, write an email to the admins to get a "join" link and then connect via steam. But maybe I am missing something once the plattform is launched.
