After the incidents on the first lap, I left the race and saved the replay and then rejoined and started again.

This way we could actually see what was happening and hopefully sort out any problems and decide what action if any needed to be taken.

You get out of the race let's say at the 4th lap, save the file and rejoin the race.

Yes I understand that, but nobody is ever going to leave his race to make a replay, just only in case he quits, (or if he is Rupe Wilson). That's why I considered you are joking...

In the cfg folder (My Documents\Assetto Corsa) there is the setting for how long or how big the replay file should be. I've heard the maximum size for the file size setting is 512mb but I'm not dsure about this.

With more cars on track 500mb is worth less time but the other option is for a timed limit on the replay. I've removed the value from the filesize limit in my settings and added a 60min limit instead. I'm not sure if this works yet but I'll let you know after my next race.

I watched the replay that was saved in my PC and was only the 6 last laps plus the period after the race until the room was closed (wasted time).

That would be nice if we could set which period of the race to record.
