Qualified 8th which I was chuft about. And I went for the fueled up for the whole race (I thought I did). From thestart I just couldnt get into rythem and the car felt awful. I was coming of everywhere and on lap 4 I come off and nearly left the track. Wasabout 40 seconds behind from next place and I eventually caught them up as they were fighting for ositions. Kept catching people and when every1 pitted I eneded up in first. I was putting in good laps considering my tyres were nakered. But my set up helped keep my tyres fresh for most of the race and only stated to struggle from lap 35. 2nd place was catching me quick and on lap 38 I ran out of fuel. Im well gutted. Considering I came of the track for so long in lap 4 I did quite well.

Thanks for the race I really enjoyed it and hopefully this race made up for the distaster I had in the EU audi event earlier.

Adam you almost had it!!! 1.5 laps from the end:disapointed:

Good job and nice thinking!!

Fantastic race guys!!

Qualy: Ran pretty well and ended up in 8th

Race: Had an excellent start and rocketed up the field to 4th, where I spent lap 1. I made it to 3rd, then barely got my tires off in the grass, which was enough to cause a big slide. When I went to rejoin, what was in my rear view mirror was devastating: the entire field lined up bumper to bumper. So I waited until the entire field went by before rejoining the track. Made my way through the field and ended up behind Sean and Jeroen. On one of the lefthand hairpins, Jeroen slid into Sean and put him right in front of me and I ended up tapping him too, so we both waited on the next straight. Worked my way up again and ended up behind Corey for basically the entire race. I matched his every move, even when he pitted and went off into the grass. Finally I started to push hard and was about to try my luck with a pass when my internet lagged and I'm not sure what exactly happened...pretty sure my roommate was downloading porn. Anyway, I ended up hitting a tire barrier and broke my suspension pretty bad. Eric was way back, but he easily caught up to me and my limp car and Adam (1st place) was nice enough to let me by twice. As I rounded the last corner, Eric was a little over a second behind and my car momentarily lost power as I was running on fumes. As I crossed the finish line, the car died.

Thanks to Eric and RD and all the great racers!!

WOW! What a race!!! :thumb:

Thanks for setting this up Eric! It was great!

It was very hot for practice and quali, so I had to modify my setup some. I managed a respectable 1:20.160, but Mitch got the coveted 1:19.9 and beat me for the pole.

I got a slow start, but managed to hold onto 2nd into turn 1. Turn 1 here is deadly, so congratulations to all for no incidents there on lap 1!!:good: I settled in following Mitch. He opened gaps as large as 2.5 sec, and I kept closing them down again. I kept the pressure on until around lap 18 or so, Mitch made an error, and I went by. I kept going, with a large lead until lap 22 when I went in for my stop. My tires were shot, so I went in. The auto pit did not work well, and left me sitting in my pit box for over 30 sec before it inched forward a bit and finally started the pit stop. :-( I was really annoyed. There went my 30 sec lead!:pissed-off:

I came out in third, and ran really hard. I put together 4-5 back to back low 1:20 laps, to try to catch up to the leaders. Then Rafael went in for his pit stop, and I was second, but a full minute back! I ran as hard as I could doing 1:20 and 1:21 laps. I started catching Adam by 4 sec a lap. Then up to 6 sec a lap. On lap 37 I made up 10 sec on him, and was 16 sec back.:sinister: I was sweating profusely, and driving for all I was worth. I didn't know if I could catch him.:nailbiting: It was obvious that he had not stopped, and his tires were shot, but there were only three laps left. Then during lap 38, I passed him on the side of the road because he had run out of gas. That left me in the lead with a 15 sec buffer back to Mitch. I finished the last two laps running 1:22 or so, and took a very tough and well fought win. :thumb:

Everyone around me drove very clean, and I had a great time. Thanks to the guys at the back who gave way when Mitch and I were battling, and later when I was chasing Adam. I really appreciated your polite driving! :thumb: I think that this was my best run ever! The quali times were very close, and the racing was excellent! Thanks again to all, and especially to Eric and RD for setting this up and running it! What a blast!!! :thumb: I'm pumped! :smile-big::):Banane04::usa: :first:

Great fun today as I took the beasty Koenigsegg out on this nice flowing track. Fuel absolutely killed me today :disapointed:

Qual: Didn't ever really seem to find a good rhythm in pre-race, qual'd in P10 with a 1:21.6 or something

Race: I knew my race pace was faster than a few of the folks I lined up against so I was expecting to have to pick my spots - what I didn't count on was the lag I was seeing from a few of those guys. Rhys was giving me heart attacks for the first few laps until he dropped out, almost took you out several times (sorry for anyone behind me early on that had to avoid any of my panic stops). About this time someone spun in the middle of the track and allowed me to get into some space and I was cruising along with Matt chasing me down most of the first half of the race. Had to take my pit stop early around lap 18 as my fuel was about out (I put 24 laps of fuel in supposedly at start). I thought I adjusted and put even more fuel in for the second stint. Matt followed me in and was back on my tail as we took off for the second half. After a few incidents I found myself in P5 as we neared the end of the race. However, around lap 30 I glance at the fuel gauge and see that somehow I'm still set to run out of fuel. I go into fuel conservation mode for the next 7 laps, trying to fend off the charging pack, but alas a final calculation showed I would run out of fuel on the last lap. Trudged my way to the pits for a measly 2 laps of fuel and finished in a disappointing 7th place.

*sigh*... :disapointed:

I was going pretty well until lap 3, when I suddenly found Jean-Michel facing the other way in the middle of a turn. I had absolutely nowhere to go, so we smacked head-on into each other. Don't worry about it Jean-Michel, that wasn't what ended my race. :) While pressing the pit request button, I went straight off and into the wall. I waited for my virtual crew chief to relay the terrible news. :at-wits-end:

Hey Rhis, I am soooo sorry... I lost the rear it coming out of the turn and ended up in the middle of the track facing you. that's when i went: "oh ****" and knew this would be bad...:sorry:

That was the beginning of a horrible race for me...

Like for you Rhys, everything was great until lap 3. I was 7th right behind my brother and ready to take advantage of any mistake he made... too bad it was me who made the mistake and took someone out with me. Went to the pits for the fix and then ended up behind my brother Eric... again... but one lap behind...:rotfl: for about 15 laps before a little grass esacapade... lol

What sucked is that since i was last after the lap 3 incident, I got blue flagged all the time, which meant I had to try to keep enough gap with the car behind if i did want to have some fun. But i made mistakes... and went to the pits a second time for another fix.I finished 9th and last :snail:

I've spent more time in the pits than on the track tonight... on the plus side i've found some 4-leaves clovers too on the outside of turn 5... lol:clover:

Thanks RD and Eric (great race!) for organizing the race. Congrats to Chris for the win! You too Mitch!

Good job

My tyres were dead and didnt want to slow you down as I could see someone was close behind and was fighting for a place with you.

same thing happened to me...i just sat there thinking "did i do something wrong??" finally the please wait came up and the car rose.

Prac/Qual - I had elected to race in the viper but after about 20 min's I wasn't getting anywhere and so I switched to the vette for qualy. Did pretty well and qualified about 6th or 7th

Race - Got a decent start and made up a couple of places but I had to go on the grass on the inside of turn 1 to avoid going in 3 wide and lost them again. After the first nineteen laps I was in 4th (a couple of cars decided to try lawn mowing). On lap 20 I tapped Pierre H on the rear bumper and turned him around (very sorry Pierre). At the end of the lap I pitted in, in (sorry) 5th. I had fueled up for the entire race so I only needed to go for tires, so I managed to come out of the pits in 4th. I spent the rest of the race just watching my times and the gaps to the cars in front get larger(couldn't keep up with those astons) and I wondered if adam could possibly win the race without a pitstop. Sadly he didn't make it and I got promoted to 3rd. Nice try Adam, and congrats to Chris and Mitchell.

ps. sorry if my lag caused a bit of a problem to those that had to follow me.

If this costs you many places (eg first few laps) then consider this a penalty for your driving infringement. Doing this shows respect to your fellow drivers and will encourage drivers to be more careful. Please use some care when letting the other driver regain position, do not immediately stop your car on the driving line where it can cause further accidents.
