First time with this mod. Awesome mod :dance2:
I missed first race due to an unpleasent family issue.

Curitiba: i was surprised with my no practice 2nd quali time with only 0.00.098 gap for Dave's pole! Excellent race for all race from all.
Finished 2nd behind Gary. :worship:

Cadwell: started in 8th, went wide on first left corner into the grass,
be careful when i was returning to the tarmac but sudenly, front end
of the car got stuck and i flipped :rotfl: last place with a gap of 30 seconds :p
Then....vroum vroum vroum and more vroum and cars fliping all over and i finished 4th :p

Again, excellent event. Thank you Sir Andrew and RD. :worship:

Well done to all, very good driving!
Now i'm a Escort mod fan.

Cheers

welp, personally i don't understand the ebb & flow of event popularity... for the past month we've run 2 servers... attendance was mid-forties, high-forties, mid-thirties, low-thirties respectively....

at the moment we're looking at 16 per server for the enduro, which as i've stated a million times, isn't, uh, ideal...

since there's no consistency or predictability whatsoever, from next week we're going back to one server and this time i'm truly done with the two server deal... i'm not gonna gamble the quality of the event on the hope that enough random bods will sign up...

i did a little bit of analysis on the sign-ups over the last month....

25 people made at least 3 of the 4 events....

34 people made only 1 event, with the heavier populated events having the most one-off signups...

the core weekly fan base for this event is still pretty much one serverful.... :steve:

To support your theory Andrew, when we were on one server, I made it a couple of time just to the reserve and was pretty sure to make it to the race and did in all cases.

So the interesting question would be, when we are on one server, what's the likelyhood that some of the 'core fan community' does not make it to a race but still allow new guys to be become a member of that community?

Apparently I once again took the wrong car...those eggs have on hell of a top speed...after Eric and I managed to swap places for the first two laps...on the start of lap three my game minimized and I had a warning about rFactor being a trojan, I tried to stop while I was reaching for the mouse to re-maximize the game, then Eric hit me, (not your fault at all) and I was out of the race, being that I had to be to work early this morning, I couldn't make it to race 2. Hope you had fun...

Investigating why F-Secure now says that rFactor is a trojan...(hmm, it was only after installing the F1 2008 mod that it did this...)

Yes, this was an absolutely gorgeous circuit, I think I'd like to run the wtcc 87s here :thumb: Unfortunately ( and I think Peter knows this first hand, as well) the Viper was a seemingly poor choice for this course. Stubborn as I was, I refused to switch to a different car regardless of how many botched laps I completed (or did not complete). By the end of qualifying I felt confident in my ability to at least stay on the track, but apparently I wasn't quite there yet. Lost the rear during braking and and plowed into a fence on lap 1, terminal damage. I'll be sure to get more practice in before the next production event :worship:

Go on then I`ll start the ball rolling.

1:14.005 on fresh tyres with 15L fuel. For 80mins I reckon 64 laps (due to pitstops) with a total fuel load of 60L at my figures will leave 2.3L left in the tank at the end.

That said, the extremely jedi like among us will probably lap the whole field before the end so knock 1 or 2 laps off.

that's the impossible problem we face at the moment.... we don't have enough regulars to justify a 2nd server.... but we have enough that growth might become an issue...

i think we'll run with one for the forseeable and maybe flirt with a 2nd server occassionally to see if the situation has changed.... (so maybe i'm not quite "done with the two server deal") :D

also, i wonder what do you guys think? i'm trying to keep one fully loaded room because i feel that's an integral part of the event (and also pretty important for an enduro race)... but i may have smoked too much crack... does it make a difference to you guys racing with 16 vs 25?
