A message to all Drivers

If you run off track, you must check to see that its clear before you re enter the track. Do not just keep the throttle pinned and pull back on track.
On re-entering the track stay off the racing line until you are up to race speed and do not block any fast approaching car.

Always try to re-enter the track parallel to the racing line.

When joining the track from the pits, remain inside the white line and stay off the racing line until you are up to speed.

During qualification, do not race on your out lap, let other drivers by.

Golden Rule
  1. If you hit somebody, sending them off the track and carry on like nothing happened, you take the risk of being banned for 30 days.
  2. Instead, you should always wait for the affected drivers, and that way you can be 100% sure you will not get a ban.
Track limits
  1. No more than 2 wheels over the white/yellow line without a lift of the gas please.
You will be penalized if you break our rules
Note: Please use your full real name in Discord. Not doing so may result in you being kicked from the server if an admin cannot identify you as a premium member.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • It is the responsibility of faster cars to safely overtake slower cars. When a faster car is overtaking a slower car (a car in a different class), whether a blue flag is being shown to the slower car or not, the slower car should be predictable and remain on the racing line. The faster car should execute the overtake only when it is safe to do so.
  • If a faster car is lapping another car in the same class, then the normal gentlemans rule applies; some cooperation may be required to facilitate the overtake, usually a slight lift at the start of a straight. Please be sensible.
  • As it is such a long lap, there will be no separate qualification for each class.
  • All other Racing Club Rules still apply to this event.

Some notes from the previous event.

There were some reports of the 911 GT3 and the cayman/boxter GT4 getting mixed up. Try to familiarise yourself with both the front and rear of each, or simply who is driving what to avoid confusion in future! Realtime will tell you who is ahead or behind.

Some found the Maserati a bit of a pig to bring to a stop. I would recommend dropping the brake power setting('General' setup tab) down to take some of the sensitivity out of the brakes. The default brake bias seems to be ok. I ran my brake power at 90 for the last race and the brakes were still biting hard.

No clutch pedal on the maserati. If you normally use one to launch from the grid or pits, beware!

To be fair all Porsches do look the same :D

I will join with Gt4 again, will try the Maserati this time.

Going away for the weekend. Don't know if I will be back on time. So if you get a full grid, Brian, you can remove me for someone else. I'll take the Cayman again because I shall not be able to practice and setting up the car.

No worries Han. Enjoy the break. I won't polish my boot just yet!

Seems to be an issue with the s.gp website sign up at the moment. If anyone who hasn't joined yet wants added to this race, just tag me here with your choice of car

Hi, not sure maybe my issue is related. Yesterday I couldn't put the car in gear on the practice server, I could start but then I am just stuck in neutral. It was the same for the Audi/Mazda Bathurst practice server. All game controls work offline and I didn't try any other public servers. I gave up on it, but reading this I wonder if its related. Will try again this morning.
