What you should do Mr. Ben Shears is take your time for about 3 laps then slowly build your speed at corners, learn the Apex's. When you come off you know you've reached the limit!

(or just drive as fast as you can and hope for the best, sometimes works for a few tracks)

:becky:

After downloading and testing the track today for a few minutes, I like the track, but I think the PR version (the one without the stop & go chicanes) feels more "natural".

After giving a few more laps with each GT club car, although I continue to feel the PR version to be the more "natural" one, I now see the GT version of the track as more balanced for our entry field. In other words, the PR version favors to much a certain type of cars.

That track is cruel and unusual punishment - a rally stage but without the 4WD or the co-driver telling you where you're supposed to be going :at-wits-end:

Tried a couple of times to post a time in the nice forgiving Mosler, but ended up down a bank each time without the grip/clearance to make it back up to the thin strip of tarmac, so I gave up before I humiliated myself any further!

Grats Sean with your first win!
It were both nice races, pretty close and fair. Finished 4th 2 times, although i had a wicked start the 2nd race. I made a mistake or something and felt like i disadvantaged someone (Corey? Have to see the replay for who it was) and felt i had to let him pass me and so did Yves. Tried to get back, but could not get closer.
Great racing guys!

First of all it was great to race with you again Yves!:)
The whole race was great fun! Quali: In the last few minutes I managed to get pole by just a breath ahead of Yves:) 1st race was great, I had a hard time catching Yves and defending against Corey at the same time!:) Yves lost it in lap 9, and I took the lead! Finished the race there.
Race 2 was awesome! At the end of the 1st lap I had Jeroen and Sean ahead me, not sure which lap it was, Jeroen gone a bit wide in the esses and I pulled to the inside line there, but I think he didn't see that and aimed for the apex, we collided, sorry Jeroen! I slowed a bit down to let him back in front of me, by the time Yves passed me! Then Jeroen slowed down in the main straight and I passed him! Then came the great fight between Sean/Yves and me, that lasted until the end of the race! Once I tried to pass Yves in T2, but he didn't see me I think as he came to the apex, I had to cut the corner a bit not to hit him:) At last lap I tried to pass him at the same place, had a nice fight, which he won! Then he was fighting hard to pass Sean at the end and that made him gone wide in last corner! I pulled on the inside and my Pug was a bit faster and I just reached the finish line a bit sooner! So double victory for Peugeot here:) Well done Sean for your first win!

Thank you Yves for the race, also welcome back and grats for your great performance!:)

Congratulations to Sean on his first win! Welcome back Yves - - you were pretty fast with the Xbox wheel.

I did not do any practice because I have raced at the "O" and the B config recently. So I spent P & Q developing a rudimentary set-up.

Race 1: Moved up because of attrition and then was trying to hold off Gaynall but the latency was too high in the mirrors. Went wide in the last turn and he was by me. A good thing, given how much he was bouncing around.

Race 2: Felt I had a little more speed for this race but the start was somewhat chaotic and I dropped back. Again I had some latency in front of me and lifted a bit and Yves bumped me. No big deal, I lifted but my G25 vibrated off the table! Spent the next two laps trying to get it back into place. Bob went by me during this time. Tried like heck to catch up to Bob and was closing in and got caught out by the curb before the last turn, but he we went wide a in the next lap and I went by.

Bob is doing much better in these races and we are both getting closer to average lap times so I am happier.

All in all, it was a fun night of racing for me.
