GSC2013 - More cars, more tracks, more features coming up

Renato Simioni

Reiza Studios
Over the next few months we plan to continue supporting GSC2013 with a constant flow of developments, including new cars, new tracks and new simulation features.

Without going into specific details just yet, this is what GSC2013 users can look foward to in the near future:

1- The updates will come in at a roughly regular pace - every month or so something new will be added to the sim, be it a new track, a new car, or a new feature, along with continuous improvements & eventual bug fixes;

2- All updates will be free - if you own GSC2013, the new content will be made available to you at no adittional charge. We are however looking into experimenting with more community interaction for those willing to participate and contribute with the funding of these developments;

3- As with the content currently available in the sim, there will be a mix of licensed and fictional content;

4- The main goal for these updates is to continue to enrich the simulation and the diversity of driving experiences available - no "more of the same", the new content will complement and enhance the existing stuff into an even more complete racing sim package;

5- The diversity is relative to our own content but also relative to other sims - these are not cars and tracks you are likely to find in every other racing game (they are not obscure either mind);

6- Also keeping to the "diversity" guideline, relative to base content the new content will be largely international (non-brazilian) - from past, present and future.

Stay tuned for more news in the near future, and feel free to discuss and give ideas as to what you would like to see in GSC2013 - we welcome the feedback :)

And a Dragstrip variation from Velopark, Curitiba (1/8 and 1/4 mile) and

Good idea with the Old Stocks at the time of Vectras and Omegas :)

Racing really is huge in brazil, it seems :) Fantastic to see that kind of diversity as some links posted show...

Also makes me sad for the ongoing butchering of autosport in my own Sweden. It is by far the most "hated" sports in the country these days. The legendary Anderstorp Raceway GP track for instance, will be closed by the government officials, following protests by people building houses on the land next to the track, knowing full well its been there since before they where born. But without the track they think the value of the land they bought cheap will increase to make a profit.

Another example is that all money was taken away from youth championships in motorsports following a rationale that it is not "legitimate in 2013, where we need to put more money on so called green sports"... Whatever green sports is.

Or the Swedish rally being close to canceled following all kinds of obstructions from government officials, also on the basis that a single motor race somehow destroys the forest and is "frowned upon" and "not a commonwealth event"

That was a long offtopic rant there, sorry. But seeing the cool brazilian stuff linked just makes it even harder to be an autosport fan in Sweden today :)

Agreed Richard, motorsport in Britain is pretty healthy, but still very sad to see Mallory Park closed recently, and the old Brooklands circuit with all it's history, just wasting away, it should be preserved at least in some way.

Oh. They've closed Mallory? Sad. I still view Britain as the home of european motorsports, but that may also be memories of the fantastic 90s BTCC and vintage Chapman Lotus times talking :) That's a good addition for gsc btw, vintage BTCC. That sexy Volvo Stationwagon.

And can't mention Britain and motors without mentioning the Goodwood festival. Gotta go next year again :)

The way this sounds is that GSC2013 is the last release of the series and will keep growing as time goes on. And I for one do not mind giving a few bucks for more development on this towards Reiza Studios. If this is it (i.e.2014.2015 release). And if this game is going to be on are PC's for a long time and it is the last official release, how about changing the name.:thumbsup: To something like: GSC Unlimited/GSC Challenge/GSC Simulator/GSC Series...Just a thought. I'm sure many others have better. You should have a contest.:D

Thanks Reiza! That's great news.

Add my vote to a Bathhurst track plus as a Canuck - would love to see an official Mosport Track.

Keep up the great work!

PS - something vital to the long term vitality of GSC2013 I feel would be the establishment of Scheduled Races. The credit for this idea belongs to this person and he has an excellent YouTube video that focuses on the needed ingredients to a racing sim having a successful online racing component:

How about taking all the tracks and allowing them to be driven in the opposite direction? I know some purist will complain, but doing this will double the amount of tracks available and provide some interesting racing

.....there are quite a few quality circuits available for GSC13......:whistling:
I appreciate there are these tracks available but they fall far short in comparison to the tracks from Reizer (use of shaders / texture mapping / trees etc)

So my vote is still Mona and Imola

I also find it amazing people say GSC13 graphics are poor - I think they are better than most out there

This is great news! I recently got into simracing, buying a wheel, pedals, wheel stand... spending way too much, bought F1 2013, Assetto Corsa, iRacing, Race07, GT6 and GSC 2013... Funnily enough the one I like the most is the cheapest one of the bunch, and developed by a smaller team; GSC 2013 just feels fantastic! Just knowing that there'll be more content coming for the already low price that I paid makes me really happy! Really impressed Reiza! Definitely my favourite sim!

Much thanks to /r/simracing on reddit that kept blabbing about this "obscure" GSC 2013 that I had never heard of. I could keep rambling, but I'll just stop here :) looking forward to the updates!

My story is the same as yours, Johan. Been a long time sim racer (Papyrus days), but somehow this sim slipped past me. I happened to see a mention of it on a forum when someone was talking about Assetto Corsa or RE3. So glad I looked into it. The naming convention probably didn't help it (Game Stock Car doesn't sound like a sim to me) and the fact that it is based on Brazilian stock cars might actually make some people look past it... but what a mistake that would be!
I now do my best effort to inform as many people as possible about this great sim. If people aren't sick of hearing me gush about it, I am not doing my job. :)

For a Future to the game could have a STYLE TV set equal to the DTM equal pictured below

Under the REAL AND STYLE TV shown in the Stock Car racing transmissions by Brazil

If the game is already good Reiza this way, imagine with STYLE TV too! PERFECT :);)
