GSC12 .exe virus notifcation

I start up my comp today and AVG say GSC exe has a Trojian.
It wants to put the file in the vault. WTF man
Anyone else get this today? It was working great yesterday

EDITED INFORMATION BY REIZA: We´re contacting the companies responsible for Norton, Avira, Avast, McAfee and AVG to get the files whitelisted ASAP.

These are false positive reports and neither the GSC installer, GSC.exe or GSC Dedicated.exe pose any kind of security issue to your system. However the fact that it is triggering false positives is an issue in itself, and that´s what we´re working on resolving.

We apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.

When I first installed the GSC2012 update, my PCTools Spyware Doctor and Antivirus immediately detected the exe's as a threat and removed both the game exe and the dedicated exe. I first researched the problem and found out others were having the same problem where it was being detected as a virus and to not worry about it and to simply allow it. I then told my AntiVirus to allow the exe files, but I still had to reinstall the game since my AntiVirus completely removed the files from my computer. Not what I call a huge pain in the ass, but it I wasn't exactly smiling at the time.

Running avg has screwed me over too.
I have made it an exception , But now i am receiving a message saying "The license project on the server is corrupt"
Followed by
"ui not found .please check you have the proper ui resource files . Application terminated .

WTF does this mean ?
Never had any probs before . please help .

Sticking this as this has now become a more widespread issue.

Didn't you hear? GSC put spyware into the exe files so they can gain access to your computer and steal your porn.

Yeah, PCTools Spyware Doctor and AntiVirus detects it too. Later after I "allowed" the files it told me that the infection had spread, which seemed very strange. Anyway, they need to fix their exe files and re-release them, because every known Antivirus program on the market is detecting the exe's as being a Trojan virus, which is not good. Not good at all. If it's not a Trojan virus, then why is it being detected as such? I shouldn't have to go to some other forum post and read all about why this is happening, so please don't ask me to do so.
Right, so everyone who has downlaoded this game , over 1-2 Thousand, now has a game with a exe that is "aparantly" a trojan?

I don't thnik so Fergus, don't believe everything your anti-virus / spyware says, i have AVAST Anti-Virus 5 , top of the range, no problems, my brother runs AVG and nod, no problems. it's a false positive, that's why it is detected and it's something thwe companies have to add to the list for the next update, to stop it from coming up with false messages.

Straight from AVG:

Thank you for your email.

Unfortunately, the previous virus database might have detected the mentioned virus in some legitimate applications. We can confirm that this was a false alarm. We will release a new virus update removing the false positive detection of the mentioned file. Please update your AVG as described in FAQ 3271:
http://www.avg.com/faq?num=3271

When the update is completed, AVG will automatically restore the falsely detected file from the AVG Virus Vault to its original location.

We apologize for any inconvenience.

Best regards,

Yes I got it as well. I had to turn off AVG and install GSC2012. After I did that I'm still unable to map my G27 wheel and CST pedals. I'm not happy, since I wanted to try this game out this past weekend.

I was able to install GSC2012 once I temporarlily turned off AVG virus software and them turning it back on once I installed the program. hopefully this helps. Also make sure your G25/27 gear shift is in nuetral when mapping and launching as system Admin will also save you a ton of headaches you may not realize.

Windows 7, 64 bit home, I5 processor,

Could the developers please make sure their exe files will not be recognized as harmful by Avira Antivir. I stated that folder should not be scanned.
But still it keeps telling me i have a infected GSC.exe.
So every time i just open something on my C disk i get this annoying popup.
I don't mind to put my Antivir off during gaming, but the other 95% of the time i like it on.

We have already submitted the exes to Avira a couple of times, not sure why they havent got it sorted.
It's sorted now, did you compress the GSC.exe file as Avira has an 8 MB file size limit. I recieved a confirmation e-mail that:

The file 'GSC.exe' has been determined to be 'FALSE POSITIVE'. In particular this means that this file is not malicious but a false alarm. Detection will be removed from our virus definition file (VDF) with one of the next updates.

Cheers.

I can too confirm Avast was blocking it last night for me too (v1.10). It was working for 24 hours just fine, then I went to launch it 24 hours later and Avast started putting files out of my GSC folder into the Avast vault, which wasn't good. Had to do a re-install repair (easier than having to restore a bunch of random files). I filled out a false positive report through Avast and sent it to them. I added my Game Stock Car 2012 folder to the 'Do not scan' list though and that seems to have sorted out the issue.
