Update: My T300 is for sure jacked up (tested it on another computer today and get the same dead feeling in the corners) but it seems to feel mostly ok in R3E so I should be able to make it this weekend.

And I'm not going to spend money on it, because I can't for the life of me think of a situation outside RD where I'd want to drive these cars.

I don't mind vintage cars, quite a fan of P&G myself.
But these things, from the time when people were just discovering aero-technologies......
I mean, look at them. They look like someone started with a standard car, and then thought:
"Gee, we'd better get some of these new-fangled wings and splitters everybody is talking about"
And then they went to the nearest scrap-yard and simply stuck on bits and pieces at random.
They look like an Airfix kit assembled by a four-year old.

But I'm in with the M1.
