GT5 Gran Turismo 5 Prologue

I guess that every PS owner had played one of the Gran Turismo games before...

To me personally, I got in touch with the GT series on the good old PS1 with Gran Turismo 2. I've played litteraly for over hundreds of hours of the game and I couldn't get enough ! After that, I got myself a PS2, together with GT3... There I've also spend many many hours. But never got to the full 100% (not in any GT game). It's just a very fun game to play.
After GT3 there was long time no GT for me, but then GT4 came !!! Man was that a game ... Graphics are really good (for PS2 standards).

Lately I've got myself a PS3 and I've immediatly downloaded the GT5 demo on the PlayStation Network ! and I couldn't believe my eyes !! Soo good looking :laughing: I'm currently somwhet of 30th on a ranking of the Mitsubishi Lancer Time Trial, so I'm happy with that :happy:

Only downside on the GT series is that there is no damage :frustrating: But if everything goes well, the full version GT5 will have a damage model for each car !!! So I can't wait !

I have not read the last few posts, but for those of you that are thinking that Gran Turismo 5 is going to be released at the start of this year, it has been confirmed by many sources that it will be released in "Christmas 2009", so maybe December of this year?

Gran Turismo has been my favourite game since I was on 2nd grade. I currently own GT2, 3, and 4 (but my GT4 disc is completely broken, can't play it anymore , just like the phrase in The Cardigans' song, "I'm losing my favourite game"), and I'm planning to buy GT5P when I got PS3 (but I haven't got PS3 till now )

Ah... memories. I have to credit Gran Turismo 3 and 4 for getting me into motorsports, and eventually simracing. It all started Christmas 2005, when me and my bro got a PS2 as a Chrissy present. One of my friends already had GT3, and showed us how to buy a car... It was an '89 Mazda MX-5, and we kitted it out with a turbo and red wheels. Those were the days...

I now own GT4 as well, and a copy of the original game. I don't play them much anymore, but I have tons of photos taken with GT4's photo mode, and I still look back on the weekends when I would fire up the PS2 and have a great time with those games.

I used to play a lot of GT series on ps1, It was the first or second where you had to change the steering wheel back to normal controller quickly after race or it would crash every time.

Wasted an entire summer on GT1, had to repeat a year in school mainly due to GT2. Had to buy a PS2 as soon as GT3 was out in a combi pack and bought a new tv when GT4 was released to see the visual improvements. Yeah I think I can say I'm an ex-GT junk Blimey/Simbin saved me from this addiction ... (and the price of a PS3 + HD tv is way out of reach)

I had it. It got old fast. everything happens to slowly, not as bad as the older ones (even though the first 2 pwnt in thier time) but after racing on the pc for the last few years I really couldn't stomach it for long.

GT4, Licence test. The last two tests were simply the best in console gaming. I was using at that time a wheel and the experiance was brilliant. I am actually looking to buy GT4 and PS2 again just for those two tests to pass the licence.

I remember the licence test where we get through 130R at Suzuka with Subaru Legacy. I even beat the demo time!

And not to forget those dreadfull missions in GT4. Some of them are still open (mainly because the 90 sec waiting before you can race in those events is just to long)

Does someone else have the FBI Drift video on GT4? It's really an impressive vid, try to check it out on Google, or by demo's on Youtube. (search for "GT4 FBI Drift")
