Got to say that was the most fun you could have on a Thursday night with your trousers on!!

I couldn't agree more Simon, really great fun. :D
This one was never going to be about the race placings, it was a great opportunity to have a fang in some fun cars at a terrific track. It's the closest an Aussie can get to actually attending a Goodwood Revival. :(

I had a ball trying some cars that I haven't driven for a damned long time, and swapping from one to the other was a real challenge because I had three very different cars.
The li'l Abarth in Race 1 was a blast, just keep the right foot floored most of the time and hang on tightly through the corners. :D I had some fun battling with Ian's mighty Falcon for a while, mainly because he went off early to keep me interested.

Race 2 in the Corvette was a challenge, mainly due to it following the Abarth. I used up almost the whole of Qualy trying to find the braking points, which turned out to be about 500 metres earlier than the Abarth. I think I took 5 laps to complete a clean lap in the Vette during qualy. The race was then all about whether I could keep it on the black stuff, which I didn't achieve, but it's power was such an advantage that I was still able to hold off Martin, who was driving much better in the Ferarri and keeping me honest.

Race 3 in the Escort was totally different again. At least it could go around corners at reasonable speed, but I struggled with some bad understeer in the faster turns. Surprisingly, it was faster than the Corvette. This Race was more enjoyable as Knut and I had many great laps together in our little Escort battle, with lap after lap of nose to tail racing. We even went off together at the same places a couple of times, that will teach Knut to glue himself to my tail. :p.
Martin got his revenge in race 3 by driving his Capri into the sunset waaay ahead, but he put in some very impressive lap times in the Capri.

Thanks to Stu for organising, hope to see this one repeated again sometime. Thanks to Knut for running the event management, and a big thanks to those who joined us for the fun.

Very much enjoyed the event. Having to swap cars for each race and to completely change your driving style made it also quite challenging. I certainly hope to see more events done in this style in the future... I just hope that there will be larger attendance next time :(

Thanks everyone for racing, well done Warren for winning race 2 in such a difficult car to drive and well done everyone who kept their cars on the track and managed to finish

See you all next time...

Had connection issues for most of the night. Everybody's ping was jumping from 60 to 300, and it was a slide show at some points. Hope that doesn't happen again, stupid cheap ISP...

Race 1, lonely in the Mini. Not fast enough to follow Martin and Knut, but faster than the rest of the gang in Abarths and such. Had more trouble with braking than in the Jag I tried in practice. Surprising.

Knut was a lot faster in the same car. He waited or had an off at one point, so I got relatively close.
Tried to follow him into a corner, in which i braked much earlier in previous laps. Braked later, about the same time as he did, and went off :D

Race 2, Elan, seemed to be one of the faster cars around. Just my lack of skill kept it behind Warren and Martin, a proper driver could've won in it I suspect.

Sorry for bailing from race 3. Was a bit late for me at that point, and it was quite muggy in the room, needed a break.

Still have to learn my G27 wheel, use flippers for now the H shifter have to wait awhile, most trouble i have is down shifting if i do it wrong the car slips of an that happens a lot last night, bud I had a great time I love Good Wood, great track !!

R1 take the Abarth great little car to race, put it on mid gears an that was a tat to slow but the long gears make it more difficult in the corners an was not much slower than Warren, in race when all go's wel:) did 1.33.xxx bud that where only a few laps ha ha !!

R2 Lotus Elan one of my favourite cars the race was the same as R1 good laps a few bad laps a lot bud still great Fun....:D

R3 CSL was a little afraid to take it but the car was nice to drive an the sound is just crazy
managed to do a few laps in the 1.21 but having my share of grass an sand :O_o:

All an All a great night racing with the few of us ;)
Thanks Knut an Stuart (get wel soon !)
