i was in 5th place in nice battle with Eck , but he spinned and i choose the wrong way to pass as his nose came in my left flank and i was slammed into the wall, what messed up my ferrari completely , barley made the pit , but i was out .

thnx all. was great fun for as long it lasted :)

Sorry Richard, my shifter started playing up, started making extra shifts. So, it locked the rear end, and I was a passenger... you were the unfortunate victim. And you're right, it had been ace up until then. The problem, continued through out the race, and wasn't at all predictable.

I got to the end, and due to others difficulties, I managed to come home third. I had many spins resulting from the shifter problem, so all in all, I was exceptionally lucky to survive, never mind get that sort of finish.

Grats to Peter (Bartfai) and Yves on their first and second, respectively. Thanks to Yves, and RD, for a great event. Thanks to everyone else for a great race.
Sorry to anyone else, who might've been caught out, by my sudden sideways action.. Although, I think only Richard was unfortunate enough to be close to me, at any of those moments... Sorry again.

Quali-5th

Made a good start got into 2nd on 1st lap. Peter hot on my tail in 3rd. Felt I was holding him up and he passed me on 3rd lap. Then at the end of 4th lap As Richard was passing me for 3rd The Ferrari motor let go. Did not expect that on the 4th lap. Im sure I was maxing the revs but I normally don't think much about it. Fun while it lasted. Grats to Peter and Yves for the top spots WD. Marty :victory:

BTW Andrew ... please don't put my name on the naughty list if I don't make it eh :wink2:
... its gonna be an outside shot that I will get in for Race 02 (if there are still spaces that is), but would love a bash at Cadwell and that ol farmyard style French track in a Rad :D

Goodwood Revival Festival

It’s time to get some classic racing going again in GTL. To appeal to the old GTL fans, but also to our newer people to this sim, lets have a fun event where people can try out a few different car choices.
This will be a festival event, with the focus on having some fun driving these classic, marque cars, rather than a serious competitive event. So get your bow ties, bowler hats, and leather goggles out and join our reproduction of the famous Goodwood Revival Festival, an annual event held on one of England’s most historic tracks.

This will be just for fun. We will hold three 10 lap sprint style races, one race in each class, TC 65, GTC 65, and then GTC 76. You can choose any car you want from the default selection for each class, and we blast around Goodwood for laughs and to show off to the virtual crowd (who are all present in this track). We really want to see a big variety of cars for this, so let’s try to avoid everyone driving the fastest car.
Have a look at the car choices of those already signed up, and choose something different.

Please join the spirit of this event, it is not about winning.

Please note that the time for this event has changed to one hour later than originally posted.

In the true spirit of the real event, we will even have some Barry Sheene memorial awards to honour the great man.
eg. Best drifting , most spectacular crash, bravest car choice, mystery place in each event, great driving in a slower car.
For the memory:

Ferrari Ferrari:) It seems they made a lot of wrong engines along with Felipe's and Kimi's! Even in the games:D

Taking it seriously, in the last race at Riverside Ryan's engine also blew up! But there was a discussion about this earlier, and that's why I didn't raise the rev limits, in Riverside I also lowered them! And still my car went very well in straights! But I still worried about it, nobody knows how much it can actually take!
