Game hangs while loading Nurburgring

Good-day to you,im a new member and really like the look of your site,looks nice and well organised.could you help if possible,ive been racing on and off in sims for a while but never got really good,mainly because i couldn't get my head round setups(like alot of other's)ive read about on other forums.My problem is this,i bought GTR EVO and i couldn't drive online because some-one had the use of the disc serial # from the back of the booklet,how annoyed was i to find this out,anyway got a new disc,and when it is loading up it hangs at the nuerburg track with an error,is this because i have a modified version in GTR 2 and it is causing a conflict or mismatch.Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance,i think i should've posted this in another part of the forum,apologies for this.

Weird error, sounds like a file is corrupted. Tried the steam install instead?

yes that went in okay then when i try and install the offline version i get the above error.

If you can install the steam one I'd just use that - you can still play different mods and run offline as much as you want.

Really i didnt know that,i thought if i was on steam then it would always be online racing i was involved in,i wanted offline also so as that i could get some practice in also.

You can race against the AI in the same way - most of the mods work fine too

Any of the ones I've tried work fine - DTM, Escort, Vectra custom skin edition, PT Sims GT Cars, GT Sport addon cars. Haven't tried the Porsche 935 mod, nor the FVRV8 mod, but I believe they both work fine too.
