G27 problem

hi Guys, don’t no if anyone has had this problem but when I start my computer the wheel spins to the Center position. Then when I load the game which is RRRE and turn a few laps, I go back to the pits and the when I start again the wheel is sitting 25 degrees to the left??? It’s very strange as I have had this wheel for years and never had this problem! Any help would be very much appreciated

Probably a broken/loose encoder wheel. Time to take it apart. If it can be glued together, you're lucky. 3rd party replacement parts are expensive, but at least made of metal to last forever.

Same thing happened to mine, step 15 shows where the optical encoder is replaced.

Incidentally same thing happened to my G29, albeit the encoder was changed to have a Hall effect sensors but still broke.
