No penalties, but the following from the RD Racing Club | Driving Guidelines

3. Follow all safety rules as if you were in a real car on a real track: use pit speed limiter in pit lane, observe all safety flags and lights, no donuts in pit lane.

I wasn't so much concerned about someone overtaking with yellow waving as I was about drivers not being cautious and driving blindly into corners where the yellow was being waved. This caused others to get caught in accidents that should have been avoided.

I do know that in the upcoming ATCC, overtaking under yellow should incur a penalty (though none are outlined for this infraction). From the rules for ATCC:

The yellow flag indicates danger on a specified section of the track. Drivers are to drive cautiously on the scene of an accident. Overtaking is not allowed in this situation.

Reviewing the Detroit replays there were several other "infractions" that would have received penalties in the upcoming ATCC

Overtaking and defending

B. Overtaking means going past someone, not through him. Drivers are not allowed to push cars out of the way in order to overtake them. Though contact may not always be evitable, it may not act as the means to make the pass.

C. A driver can only attempt a pass when there is room for it and when the chance is reasonably high that it becomes successful, without heavy contact. On road courses this means that the overtaking car must be able to get a significant overlap with the defending car before they get to the turn-in point of a corner.

How does it work with yellow flags? I mean, in offline mode i get the message "yellow flag no overtaking" while in online session the guy in the pits doesn't seems very concerned with the race except when the car is damaged (hate him btw ).

As far as I understood there are no penalties if someone overtake in yellow flag zone. Am I right? Should we try to apply the rule anyway? Is there any RD rule for this?

I can't remember but I probably overtook while yellow flag sometimes...just to have a clarification on this point. Thanks

Guess I had better get those last few paint touch-ups done and get it submitted then....

For this race, we will be using the ATCC Skinpack because it will be compiled before the event. So the "Friday Night Skinpack V2.0" is the end and will be wiped clean after ATCC is over.
