Really upset I missed this race, was exhausted when I got home ate dinner and passed out on the couch around 7pm...woke up to my GF getting home at like 11:30pm and just went right back to sleep.

So rare for me to sleep more then 4 hours of sleep a night :p

See you guys wednesday.

Keith

Yes the final installment of "Nation's Weeks" is in honor of Italy! The passion for motorsports is so deep here it rivals "Football"

When you think of Italy and Motorsport of course Scuderia Ferrari immediately comes to mind for everyone. Add in Lamborghini, Maserati and Alfa Romeo just to spice it up! Thats a roll call of major automobile / racing enterprises!

The Italians don't just produce world class supercars mind you. They have a couple of the worlds truly fast tracks as well! Monza being reconfigured to add some safety is still one hugely demanding track. Mugello and Imola are fast flowing tracks that host all types of major motorsports events!

Italy is not short on world class drivers either! Alberto Ascari, Giancarlo Fisichella, and Michele Alboreto all drove for Ferrari in F1! Teo Fabi, Nicola Larini as well! And lets not forget Giampiero Moretti (MOMO Fame) and ENZO FERRARI!

So grab yourself some Zupe di Pesche and a nice red wine for supper!

It's time to celebrate the racing heritage of ITALY!

here is the weeks schedule of events!

Sunday August 15th GT Sport @ Monza 1970

Monday August 16th GT PRO @ Monza 1970 10K

Tuesday August 17th International Formula Masters @ Misano

Wednesday August 18th MINI / Clio @ Varano de Melegari

Thursday August 19th US Muscle Cars @ Imola 08

Friday August 20th WTCC @ Mugello GP

Saturday August 21st WTCC Extreme @ Monza 07

Schedule could change based on track testing for bugs etc.

We have a fresh, new way of reporting and punishing incidents in the Racing Club, using an infractions system - read more here

You are actively encouraged to use this system - we like to keep driving standards high - so if you feel you were wronged in any way during an event simply send the event organiser a private message detailing the incident including a youtube video. Do not post reports/accusations in the thread itself - negativity and anger gets us nowhere.

The old configuration of Monza before they installed all those silly chicanes to slow down the cars! Well we care about your safety too so we decided to run the Sports class rather than the Pro class for this one!

So help us kick off Italian Week with a race at the world famous Autodromo Nacionale di Monza!

Built in Villa Reale park, north of Monza,[5] a woodland setting,[4] the site has three tracks –
The first track was built from May[5][7] to July 1922[4][5] by 3,500 workers,[5][7] financed by the Milan Automobile Club[5][7] – which created the Società Incremento Automobilismo e Sport (SIAS) (English: Automobile Sport and Encouragement Company)[5] to run the track. The initial form was a 3.4 square kilometres (1.31 sq mi)[5] site with 10 kilometres (6.2 mi)[5] of macadamised road – comprising a 4.5 kilometres (2.80 mi) loop track,[5][7] and a 5.5 kilometres (3.42 mi) road track.[5][7] The track was officially opened on 3 September 1922,[5] with the second Italian Grand Prix held on 10 September 1922.[5]

When the ARC used this track for an event, there were a couple of problems. First was that no pit presets seemed to work but as there is no mandatory pitstop that shouldn't be a problem. The other was the chicane down the back straight. Going through it, the cars seemed to lag/warp so try and go single file through it or you might end up in a crash.

Soooo, sign me up please :)

James thats some important information. I gonna look on the track right away! Tnx.

Ethan,

Gonna look how into a .config file for you. Answer will be here soon.
