Forum Name

A few from our members registered original on Racedepartement with their nickname. Is there a way they can change it to their real name so there is no confusion posting here on the STC Forum ?

Hi Tom,

in fact I think forum admins will ask him to switch from nick to real name if I am right.

If they apply for club membership their name will be switched to their full name.

If you are still using a nickname on the forum it will be changed once your application is approved. The real name you provide us will be also your new login name to the forum. Your old nickname will no longer exist once approved

Do they have to do this ?
Affraid it is getting complicated if they have to do this. Not sure where STC stops and Racedepartment begins.

Wouldn't it be easier to have a change request thread here ? I remember one when doing the Vertigo cup searched for one and didn't find it.

They do not need to join the club to change their names. They can do it in the name change thread. http://forum.racedepartment.com/member-support-forum/522-name-change-thread.html

The main reason it isn't used much anymore is because the application process for the racing club has been streamlined to take that step out. If you want to change names without getting racing club membership the thread system should still apply.

Please ask your guys to make a post in the name change thread and someone will change them over for you. It doesn't take long. I'll check on it myself for you to m,ake sure it gets picked up by the relevent peopl if needs be.

actually that thread is closed, but in this case might be open it and try to keep an eye

maybe better just pm me, Simon, Andrew, Bram or other RD staff to help out with the name change :wink:

Actually you need a racing club membership to post in the RACE 07 league forums anyway.. so dropping an application is the most easy thing to do..

Doesnt take more then 1 minute to fill it in and we'll process it from there

Could we have it in sticky here on the STC forum. What they should do ?They come in here via the link on the STC site and not via the RD Forum. It would be a help it they would know right away what to do. So if i read correct all the non club members can't post here ??

Thats correct! If STC organisation insists on fixing it we need to move the forum to another location then the RACE 07 forum, and i dont think that is very handy seeing the amount of visitors the RACE 07 forum gets.

I am trying to find a solution, but havent got one yet, so best is that the Teamspokes man post a link i guess pointing to here:

Thx Bram. Could we have this link and a little explenation also as a sticky here like i asked. It would be nice if we could have every driver here as it makes the community better and every little thing helps to get them registering here.
I will put it up on the Flatout Forum also for our members.
