This was my first ever GSC online experience with just 20 mins practice in this car right before the event. It was very good fun (thx Dennis) and I think I didn't harm anyone seriously (Did I?).

I think I qualyfied 7th or so with a 1:30:7xx, which I was happy with.

Race 1 (DNF - ran out of fuel :whistling:):

I had a very nice start and was able to gain a few positions on the inside of turns 1, 2 and 3. Teh following laps I got passed by those few faster drivers again. Very nice racing in this stage of the race. Later the race was a bit more lonley but good to learn the car. In the end I was in P6 when I ran out of fuel in the last turns due to misscalculation.

Race 2 (6th):

Again a very good start from P11 or so with nice overtakes through the first corners. Again I got catched by the faster ones sooner or later. And finished in a nice P6.

Since I have no clue how to really setup this car, I'm very curious if someone would like to post his setup. It felt like those who overtook me out of the corners on the following straights had much more traction. So I wonder if it's (only) about driving technique/style or if I'm also missing something important in setup. Thx in advance guys. ;)

And big thx for a nice event.

Hi @Reik Major.
Without watching from fast drivers responding in your request (posting a setup) for your help
I will try to give you a picture of what you're asking for.
The comparison with Race07 is a failure. Finish.
R07 is absolute in reactions even when you change a "click" in setup, you feel it on the steering wheel purely.
I think that in GSCE things are a little more "ACADEMIC", changing setup, you just get better or worse time laps, without "participating in the feeling". (steering wheel)
Simply, you just have the effect (better or worse). All that, from what I've understood until now.

I am pretty new to this game as you are (four races), I have the same questions as you,
and what I've understood, is practice, practice, practice and what ever this game is,
you belong to the Fast Drivers and you will find the way out from your queries.

.....................................The data I have collected is the following....
1) I didn't see big differences in qualifyings (many cars in one second) big gaps here simply ....don't exist..
2) Fast driver brake 50 meters after me...(I have yet to understand how they do it)
,,,,I think this is the biggest "key" for good lap times...You need to run the "open wheels"
.....to understand what I mean...they brake a "century" later than me.
3) Finally keep your lap times in race as high as possible in each lap...(too unstable for me)
4) Again; practice, practice, practice, this game should flow through your blood stream, I am ...sure that you can do this. You are fast...

No worries Charles! ;) Had some great battles in both races particularly with Mark, Tal and Markus and finished in 5th both races after qualifying 5th in both as well! Congrats to my team mate Paul Watkins for two excellent wins and he'll hopefully take a lot of confidence into tomorrow nights championship race.

Enjoyed tonight having my first pole and win in RaceDepartment and then to go on and get a second pole and win was amazing for me. Not bad for an old git. ;) I'm so used to being mid-pack when the Aliens are about, no doubt normal service will resume tomorrow in the league with me back to mid-pack or lower.

I really do like it here and that's not because I just won a couple of races. It just seems a really good place to race. Thanks for the racing guys.
