Sorry for suddenly leaving R1 during Quali - my PC decided to shutdown and reboot.
Rejoined but the race has just started. So waited till R2 and joined ok. Had a good R2 in Z4 but one single spinout dropped me back in the pack. Finished 9th. Congrats the the podium and thanks Andrew for scheduling GT3 racing again.

At Jan and Guus, sorry for the late answer but better late than never.
With the 1.15 Version the mod worked offline aswell as online properly but with the 1.21 Version I had to run a sync after installing the blancpain mod to get it work online too.
Without the sync, I just could choose the V8 cars.

I know but somehow it did not start to load and I also did a re-syncing but it did still not load.
I checked the sync-log from the first sync and in there I could see that this track was not in the logg. I will try to sync again tomorrow to see if there will be a update for this track.
Sometimes I need to delete the GSCSync cache, and I have heard that sometimes deleting the Shared folder helps with syncing.

Thx, it appears to work now. Too bad i didn't check it earlier today and post it here for you to see. Ah, well, cya next time.

Great racing today guys this was the first time I tried this mod, pretty fun though I need to dial in the ffb, no matter what I set the wheel degree to and Ffb strength I still had a lot of play in the center with no ffb.
First race I was just coming to terms with the car and it's tendencies second race I made a few tweaks to the setup making it more competitive, spun right off the bat in turn 1 putting me at the back of the pack. Battled back up to 5th and was able to watch Andrew defend quit nicely for several laps before I made 2 mistakes. Ended up 6th which I'll gladly except due to the amount of mistakes I made :)
I hope we run this mod again!

Cheers

Good racing all, congrats to podiums in both races. My favourite mod by a long shot :)
Had good qualy for both races, but again, silly errors costing me. R1 totally spun out on lap1 destroying my suspension  R2 stated well but another error took me up a steep bank , but then had some good battles to finish 5th

Let's fill up the grid! You can ask other drivers to practice or race with you by using the tag function of the forum. Just type an @ directly followed by the user name and this person will receive a notification.

Our racing clubs are foremost meant to gain online experience so please help other drivers out when they have questions about the event, the car, the track, the setup or a combination. This is not a league race, it's for some fun, so please join us on TeamSpeak and build a little community spirit!

Don't forget all the Opalas have launch control, assign a button to it.
  1. On the start line push the button and hold it (you will see it engages 1st gear)
  2. Press the gas to the max!
  3. Wait for the start and release the button and you're off. Zooooom away.
  4. Change to 2nd gear as normal and carry on up the gear box.
Note: These vehicles do not have a pit speed limiter. Pit speed limits still in effect, maintain the limit manually.

Thanks, all seems fine now. Waiting for the next GT event then:)

hey guys, please sign me up :)
and any advices for which truck to drive and setup tips? did not drive in a long time.
Well the Ford is the easiest, but at Goiania you'll suffer with slower speed on the straights so it's a big trade off. Depends on what you feel more comfy with I guess, I still haven't decided which truck I am using. Why not try a different truck each of the two races?
