Well it's a good way to grow the audience, Channel 5 must have given up, they did a pretty good job but the beeb will draw a bigger crowd.

And when the BBC make it popular the FIA will give them and all the fans they've built up the middle finger and put it behind a paywall on sky.

If Ch5 - which presumably has less overhead - can't make it work, why is it going to work on the Beeb? are we at the point where streaming media is the way forward for individual series? the BTCC whole day broadcast on ITV4 seems to work, but I guess that is not a solution for everything.
