about the .plr file edit... beware... there are binary zeroes at the very beginning of this file (seen it)
i edited the file with a hex editor

last but not least, i actually raced on Formula 3 and i can tell you they really don't look like the
models showed in the pictures. The airtake above the rollbar and the palettes to change gear...
they seems more F3000... meh...
