With no real high performance version available in Britain racers looked elsewhere for potential race winners. But dig a little deeper and you'll find the humble mk3 did indeed appear in various events. The Avon Tour of Britain had mk3's entered in both '73 and '74 and in circuit racing Bill Vero and DJ Noel...

No maybe not, but the cortina MK III was THE best selling car in the UK during the early and mid 70's so it SHOULD BE for ac, yeah i know this is a old post, but i'm just making the point that someone somewhere (simple minds anybody?) should of created this mod for the game by now, shamefulll tbh..

If you have a look around you will probably find a mk3 Cortina somewhere, I used to have it until I reinstalled at the beginning of the year so theres definitely at least one knocking about somewhere.
