FIA reveals radical cost-cutting measures

Following a meeting of the FIA's World Motor Sport Council in Monaco on Friday, the FIA has announced a host of measures that will be put in place over the next few years that will cut budgets by at least one third from next season.

Sounds like good news. If the enforce this rule and drop the ridiculous stockengine rule it might turn out for the better!

Time will tell with these measures, I just really hope the "medals" proposal doesn't go through.
Drivers should be rewarded for consistent driving through the season.
Highly unlikely someone will win the championship without winning a few races.

It´s seems that FIA wants to creat another bullshit with the ridiculous stockengine!

I disagree. The 'goldern years' of F1 that so many hark back to was a time when 90% of the field ran a Ford Cosworth DFV engine. It worked then because all you needed to so was buy a customer chassis, plug in an engine and there you were you had a competitive car. Whats so wrong with harking back to that rather than catering for factory teams which have a long history of being like locusts to a series, using it whilst they want to then ditching it leaving it ruined in their wake.
