Multiclass cars are usually around 15s a lap different in pace, but have you ever thought about what it would be like if one class did 2 laps in the time the other class did 1? Well wonder no more, as the staple of cheap low-speed racing takes on the pinnacle of the V10 era! Two races lay ahead, where everyone will get a chance to race in the Citroen 2CV and their choice of the Ferrari or Williams from 2004! Strap in and bring that Christmas Cheer to this FESTIVE Multiclass Madness!

Information for all racers

The Formula 1 cars are pretty forgiving, so you should find them logical to drive. Please use the time before Private Qualifying 1 to do laps in both the 2CV and the Formula 1 car of your choice. Once the first race is over, you will swap cars and go straight into a 15 minute qualifying session, so there is not much time to learn the cars for the first time there.

The F1 cars will require a setup to adjust out some of the undesirable quirks we have discovered over the last few races they have been used in. A setup will work for both the Williams and Ferrari, so do not worry about them being different. This setup is attached below.
Install this by placing it in the folder: rFactor 2\UserData\player\Settings\2021_Barcelona

Please be courteous when on track with the other classes. The speed differential is massive between these cars and crashes are inevitable, I can't deny that. However, Discord is a useful tool for dealing with traffic as you approach, and for quelling grievances after any impact.

It is the responsibility of the faster car to overtake Safely. If in doubt in a collision, the Formula 1 car will be adjudged to be at fault here. You have all the grip and excellent brakes, so your car has the agility to avoid a crash. I have chosen an F1 track with plenty of run-off (some tarmac, some gravel) so you can run off track if necessary.

However, Citroen drivers, do be aware that if you see an F1 car in your mirror, it will definitely pass you in the next corner. Leave it space on the inside as that is inevitably where they will dive to get past, and will be the fastest method for the both of you.

Sign up for which car you want to race first. Everyone will get to race both cars, so try to get into the grid which includes people you want to race, or are the pace as if possible.

It is still up to the F1 cars to make the pass safely, so the Citroen's have every right to turn in on the racing line. Down the straights especially, if you end up three wide in the Citroens and block the track, then the F1 cars will just have to wait. But yes, if you see an F1 car as you are approaching a corner, don't be surprised if it throws itself up the inside of you.

The rule is that the Faster Cars must pass safely.
Some advice is that the Citroen's may find it easier to leave a cars width on the inside if you see an F1 car approaching.

The best thing to do is jump on the server early and try both cars while others are doing laps. Get used to how much grip you have in the F1 cars and what you can and can't get away with when you find a Citroen in a corner.

Yes it will be a great challenge to get good with both cars. I think Barcelona with it's many run-offs is a good choice for such a kind of event. In doubt we can always go wide for the run-off.
