It enables him to have more experience in F1. I think the purpose is to see him at Williams in a few years.
And we need to say he brings a good sponsor with him for Sauber. But, I have no doubt about his skills. He will be better than his teammate.
 
Good for him.
One of the few GP2 graduates that's actually shown comparible pace during his F1 Friday Practice outings.
And one of the few current GP2 drivers that have actually shown talent on during their first (and second) season in GP2. He was quick right from the beginning, not after practicing a couple of seasons like Valsecchi, Ericsson, Palmer, Leimer etc.
I personally rate Nasr very highly and I'm hoping to see Bottas-Nasr super-duo dominate the F1 at Williams in the future!
