Fanatec CSL DD 0,5 - FFB Settings for rFactor 2 [OW]

Hi, after a few weeks of testing, finally happy to share the rF2 setup for OW cars.

Settings for the CSL DD Boost Kit 180 Bundle:

• Set 1 - for 'peak' mode (8 Nm):

• Set 5 - for 'linear' mode (6 Nm):

These settings should be fine for most open-wheel cars in rF2.

For your preferences:

In Fanatec Controll Panel:
FFB [Overall FFB Strength] & FOR [Force Effect Strength]

In rFactor 2:
FFB Smoothing & FFB Multi.


Also edited few options in my Controller.JSON [rFactor2 / UserData / Controller]:

"Steering resistance coefficient":0,
"Steering resistance saturation":0,

I don't have DD1 / DD2 base, but from what I've heard no one is using 100% ffb force.
8 Nm is good enough for me

I am going to have to try this. I just ran RF2, and whatever settings I had on the wheel made the game feel cursed. The wheel was maximum strength with every FFB effect the game threw at it. I was about to load a suggestion setup from Fanalabs, but then I didn't want to go down that rabbit hole right now. I'll give your 8nm settings a go. It's going to be way better than what I just experienced.

I tried the Fanalab profile with these settings, and was good
Major difference I lowered FEI way down with Historic open wheel
Specially considering I am using podium 911 which is too slow for old cars
My CSP 280m round V2 has arrived, going to try out tonight, same 3 x 1 hour races for direct compare
Nice finally having 2 complete wheels to use
Best races I had since I got CSL DD, I can't believe anyone had the same experience would not fall in love

setting ffb in game to device driver made a diff for me

i use a csl elite ps4 version

With those settings and DPR at 100, if you restart the race a few times, FFB on CSL DD starts buzzing and making some grinding noise when you steer. I tought my base was mulfunctioning but I guess I’m not the only one.

Yup, I had this very problem too. Solved it by reducing the dampening setting to 0%.
