I will be using the 2002 NASCAR mod in this one. There are 17 teams available to control. If you want to be a manager, use this template:

RULES:
Every team has 2 drivers
All drivers will start with the same amount of skill
You will have 2000$ to spend at the start of the season.
You MUST buy stuff for both drivers every race (well... if you do buy something), to avoid teams only upgrading 1 driver
I will only be doing 20% races, but they are 40 minutes long though
The races you will watch will be cut into highlights.
You can change sponsors 0 times (in preseason, will change for actual S1)
If a bug occurs, like drivers running out of fuel, or so, I will just count the race results from a lap before the bug occured

SKINNING CARS:

BUYS:
Improve starts +0.1 (100$) (you will all start on -4, and maximum is 4) //Ithe value = how much positions you will make off the start
Quali skill -0.1 (20$) (all start on 31). //This value = your grid position. So improving it by 1 means that you will most likely start on pole, at least in the 1st few races
Race skill -0.1 (100$) //it's also in negative, because the minimum value is 6.2, and that's where you ALL start. As you move more negative, you get faster. Maximum value is 0

I will put AI agression value to 100%, and put the "crash" ability quite high, to actually see some action in the race :)

Also, driver list will consist of 75 different drivers. You choose them now, you can't change them ever again.

Forgot to add in the rules: By the 2002 mod's default, you are only allowed to do 3 quali laps.

Note that I am still working behind the scenes, so the series probably won't be starting till early September, or late August. I want to see how many people are interested in this though.


Points system is wrong, i not really want to you to adjust it inside the game, but compile it like this

I am thinking: I can't get the NASCAR liveries running with the 1989 F1 mod, but in the NASCAR mod, I have less cars, and changed driver abilities.

I will try to give it another few goes, might eventually make it :)
 
Alright, so I made the old driver stats available for the NASCAR mod. Though it crashed on saving replay. I'll need to look into that, otherwise no video for races, and that's not what anyone here wants.

Buys will be revealed soon, and there will be either 17 teams, or 18 if I manage to bring in an F1 team to be my "Allan McNish"

And by the rate this is going, it might even not start in September, but in June

EDIT: No Tyrrell, 17 teams to fill up

EDIT 2: It did crash, but the replay saved, That's good

Looking good, cars really close, all cars in 4 seconds!!! No hacks, or anything :D

But the cars are now crashy, half the field DNF-ed. The field was in 11 seconds in the race. Quite random, just like rFactor.

EDIT: The cars do have varying speed, but every 2nd message I hear is "has hit" or "has been hit by", so I'll need to reduce the crashiness of the drivers
