F1 2010 F1 Private championship 360

Hi just would like to know how i can setup a online championship between my friend and i, with the points etc as in the career championship. Problem is i've tried to set it up in multiplayer we drive a couple races save it and decide to come back another day to do a couple more. but when we return we have to start from scratch. Can anyone say if its possible to do it like i want to or its just not possible.

Im pretty sure you cant save online stuff. Perhaps its something that codemasters can do with F12011.

Joting down the points is probably your best bet.
