Hi all,
Long post, hope this doesn't sound too demanding, I'd just love some help.
So, this may be a weird thing to do, but I'm attempting to set up a sort of F1 mega-campaign on Assetto Corsa, with F1 cars and mods and tracks continuously over the years from as far back as possible. I've been looking into this for a long time, and have finally started collecting older cars, skin packs, and so on. I have a few questions as to how to set this up.
I currently have:
2019 (RSS FH19)
2017 (Skins for ks SF70H)
2016 (ACF1 Mania 2016 or skins for Williams FW37 and ks SF15-T (reluctant because actually 2015 cars))
2015 (above Williams & Ferrari and/or F1 AL 2015)
2013 (ks F138 + Ferrari Opponents (league))
2009 (VRC Williams FW31)
2007 (VRC Ferrari F2007 and McLaren MP4/22)
2005 (VRC Renault R25 and McLaren MP4/20)
2004 (ks F2004, Renault R24, Williams FW26)
2002 (Ferrari F2002, Williams FW24)
1998 (Ferrari F300, McLaren MP4/13)
1997 (Ferrari F310B, Williams FW19)
1991 (VRC Jordan-Ford 191, Ferrari 643)
1 - Can anyone recommend cars/skins to fill in the blank years, mainly 2018, 2014, 2012-2010, but also 2008, 2006 (I have the Ferrari 248), 2003, 2001(I have the Williams FW23), 2000, 1999, 1996-1992 (I have the Ferrari F310 1996 but that's about it) etc? Also if there's an '88 mod or skins to go with the MP4/4 I have that would be excellent, but at that stage I'm doing over 20 years so may be impractical. I'd prefer to not spend too much on paid mods if possible, but I'm willing to do that if the price seems reasonable for the quality and/or it's the only choice.
2 - 2016 is awkward because the ACF1 Mania cars do not have external sound. I could use those 2015 cars but I might want/need them for 2015 and I'd rather not use the wrong year car, or use the same car model two years in a row, especially in more modern eras, though I know it sometimes happened in the earlier years. Is there a sound patch for this mod, or a better 2016 mod?
3 - On a similar note, 2015 is awkward too. Seeing as there's the ks SF15-T, and a VRC Williams FW37 from this year, I'd prefer to use those and just slap on 2015 skins, but hardly any seem to exist, and more bafflingly the cars, especially the FW37, seem to have a whole lot of 2016 content, when they were the previous season's cars. I also have the F1 AL 2015 mod, but those cars don't seem to want to work. Some help with either collecting 2015 skins for existing cars, fixing the F1AL set or getting a new collection altogether is much appreciated.
4 - on a more minor note, the ACF1 Mania sets for 2018/2017 and so on seem to be quite complicated to install, being 'applications' when downloaded and the 2018 mod coming up (according to my Russian to English translation) as broken. Can anyone help with this issue?
Sorry for the mammoth post, have just wanted to set this up for a long time and have just come across a few speedbumps.
Thank you so much for reading, even if you don't help!
P.S. Before y'all link me google.com again, you think I haven't been searching? That's how I ended up on a shady-looking Wix website to find that damn 2015 mod. I've been searching, nothing's been coming up.

For 90s cars I'd recommend you head over to ASR Formula. With their free cars you can fill out a decent sized 1991 grid already.

Thanks! Already know the quality of their stuff thanks to the F310, just didn't think to find their website. Thanks so much!

Slight bump with a few questions:
1 - are the ********************* F1 2010 or 2008 cars any good? I've heard they can be a real mixed bag on that site. I drove their Tyrrell P34 and it seemed alright to me, but idk. I just can't find anything for those years aside from them.
To fix the audio for the 2016 pack I have, I've been told it can be relatively easy to copy in sounds from other cars. I'm thinking the SF15-T would work. Can anyone link me a tutorial on doing that?

No, best don´t get anything from them.

Content Manager has an option to swap sounds inbetween car.

Thanks for the input!
So, for 2010, should I instead use the Lotus Exos? That was that year, I think, and it's meant to be an F1 car, and someone's made a skin pack... and what do I do about 2008?
And I'll try the sound trick soon!

You can use the Ferrari F2007 and McLaren MP4-22 by VRC from the 2007 season (close enough) together with this season skinpack. I don't think there's a 2008 skinpack yet (if it ever comes). Maybe settle with 2007 instead. Cars are really close to the 2008 season.

For 2000 and 1999 you can use the Formula RSS 2000 V10 by RaceSimStudio together with the 2000 and 1999 skinpacks.

For 2018 you can use the RSS Formula Hybrid 2018 by RaceSimStudio (I'd recommend you to buy this pack instead if you're thinking about getting the 2018 car, as there's the 2017 car and both F2 variants in it as well) together with the 2018 skinpack.

Thanks! Yeah, I thought the FH18 was the best way to go about 2018. And seeing as I don't know of another way of doing 99 that works too.
I now only need:
To fix 2016's sound
To fix/find anothet way of doing 2015
2014
2012
2011
2008?
2003?
2001?

Well, I have good and bad news
Good: I now have so many more boxes filled!
Technically, in terms of finding new content, I only need stuff for:
2014
2012
2003
1999?
1997
and further back, which I don't mind too much.
Bad news: I've now messed up one of my mods. Luckily it wasn't a functioning one per se, but I was trying to fix the exterior noise for the ACF1 Mania 2016 mod, and in doing so I ended up removing the interior noise instead. So now I need help with that, too.
So, I only need:
Seasons for 2014, 2012, 2003, 1999, 1997 and older (excluding 1991)
Help fixing sound for 2016
Help with 2015 - either fixing the F1AL mod or finding an alternative, or finding 2015 skins for the SF15-T or FW37.
Optional: I'd appreciate an HRT 2011 skin for the Exos 125, as the 2010 skins are mainly fine save them, who changed livery enough for 2010 to look out of place on the 2011 grid.

So, it seems there's nothing for 2003 (and 2014, come to think of it) on Assetto Corsa, so maybe I should work on something myself? Maybe I could ask permission from someone with an F1 2003 mod on another game? I tried looking for 3D models online but there's practically nothing. What should I do? I'd probably convert one model over, and make the rest of the grid be skins. Would appreciate some help if this seems like the best thing to do.

So, big progress!! Thanks to someone on Facebook, I now have functioning 2015 and 2016 grids! And I also have the FF1 2015 acting as 2014 (though it's not exactly realistic, as the car looks good xD)
All I really need that I'm focusing on now is 2012 and 2003, then I have an unbroken chain from 1997 to 2019. After that, completing the grid for 1992 to 1996 gives me a chain to 1991. If anyone can help with any of those, more specifically 2012 and especially 2003 as nothing seems to exist for that year, that would be very welcome. I think maybe I should try and make my own 2003 car, though I can't really find a usable 3d model within any reasonable price range for me... what was wrong with 2003? XD

Quick update: good news! I have talk to the creator of the rfactor f1 2003 mod and have been given permission to convert it. Now all I need to do is do it without incinerating my computer. Can't be that hard, right? /s

Update 2 on the whole F1 2003 mod thing - I was getting absolutely nowhere with model conversion, and my computer wants to die anyway, so I asked a new friend from the facebook group 'Assetto Corsa Mod Central 24/7' to convert the 3d model. He finished incredibly quickly, and it looks great. Big thanks and shout out to Adriano Cotta Ramusino for the help. Now onto physics, sound and skins. Will show wip image when possible

Hi,

Do you have the F1AL mod for 2015 season? Is it working for you?
If yes, could you please help me to make it work?
When i try to launch those cars, the game crashes, with this code.

AC\setupscreen.cpp (123): SetupScreen::SetupScreen
AC\escmenu.cpp (52): ESCMenu::ESCMenu
AC\sim.cpp (558): Sim::Sim
AC\splashscreen.cpp (319): SplashScreen::postRender
AC\game.cpp (181): Game::onIdle
AC\game.cpp (210): Game::run
AC\acs.cpp (477): wWinMain
f:\dd\vctools\crt\crtw32\dllstuff\crtexe.c (618): __tmainCRTStartup

thanks a lot,

I am watching with great interest as I am also a big F1 fan who would like to drive cars throughout the years too. 2011-2012 cars were some of my favorites but haven't been able to find any quality mods. ********************* recently made an F1 2012 mod pack, but the quality looks very questionable when you watch the onboards. Up to you to decide if the quality (visual and audio at least) is up to your standards I suppose. Best of luck!

ummm... i wouldnt accept paid mods cuz i hate it, i just want free mods, paid mods is not worth the money, i just pay games and stuff, not this piece of *****, thats why i hate RSS, instead, use ACF1 2018.

LOL what a stupid perspective... the reason RSS are paid mods is because the amount of detail and quality they provide, much higher than ACFL IMO. They are incredible cars that are absolutely worth the money and are very cheap, if you can't afford $3 than how are you even sim racing???

i just think mods are ALL free, but i like their mods, and i live in brazil, so, i need an international credit card to pay (pls dont make fun of brazil). That's the problem, where i live.

Oh nice, they stole our sounds again.

Don´t ever purchase anything from these guys.
