The dominant Mercedes AMG F1 Team have revealed their new Grand Prix livery, ahead of the new car launch on February 14th.

Surprising no one, the new livery is very much a progression from previous seasons, with the Mercedes silver remaining the predominant colour of the new design. Adding a splash of much needed colour, the new livery now includes some delicate red accents thanks to the new five-year 'principal partnership' with global manufacturer INEOS, adding their logo and red colour scheme at the top of the car.

“It’s a proud moment for INEOS to become principal partner to the world’s best Formula One team – and by extension one of the world’s most prestigious brands, Mercedes-Benz”, said Sir Jim Ratcliffe, Founder and Chairman of INEOS.

“The Mercedes team is a leader in global sport and have consistently shown that they are at the forefront of technological innovation and human performance. Their grit and determination to redefine what is possible makes them a natural fit for INEOS.
“By strengthening our partnership with Mercedes-AMG Petronas it will allow us to identify and unlock even greater performance gains across the wider INEOS sports family.”

INEOS branding also features on the inside front wing endplates and rear wing, with the remainder of the new design predominantly following the styling of previous seasons.

Good choice for sponsor

INEOS is officially backing an international initiative to stop the flow of plastic waste into the world’s oceans and rivers. ( they make plastic food containers and bottles )

Chairman and Founder Jim Ratcliffe has signed the global plastic industry’s Operation Clean Sweep® – and has pledged to do all he can.

The decision to sign was made as the UN Environment Programme claimed about eight million tonnes of plastic end up in the sea every year.

That's what big Corps. do. They Lie and buy their way into Controlling the situation. Like big Pharma, they own all the Servey companies and Labs, basically servey themselves , They own the TGA and they approve products for themselves.

My first thoughts on this car was "What the hell why is there so much red on that car its suppose to be the SIlver Arrows not a blood red Ferrari!" but now thinking about it the red is subdued into the background but they still have the Red Merc Star on the rear of the car in memory of Niki Lauda, its sorta grown on me now but yeah its just one of those things with the sponsoring from Ineos they had to add the red to the car...

The red is probably for sponsor INIOS. And it draws attention. It is said in color phycology Red makes blood boil and is intimidating.

LOL! Reports suggest Ferrari will use a different shade of red this season. It will still be matte (bummer!) but darker, because last year's shade was almost orange.
I wish that someday they use a yellow or black livery. IMHO, the prettiest road cars they made are on these colors, not red. And the red wasn't even a choice, just some nationalistic BS from FIA on early XXs... all Italian scuderie use red... and Alfa aways do better than Ferrari on visuals department.

Too bad those front wings weren't made from recycled plastic as we would be well on our way to carbon neutral. All kidding aside glad to see the exposure none the less
