F1 | Dutch, Spanish and Monaco Grand Prix Postponed

I do not think this season will take place at all. The virus is still growing. And according to the most optimistic forecasts, even if half the season will left for the racings. Then where to put the rest of the season?
:cry::cry::cry::thumbsdown::thumbsdown::thumbsdown:

Until a vaccine is available don't expect there to be any sporting events globally, and lets remember a cure is anywhere from 6 to 18 mths away, then, they have to produce enough to vaccinate the worlds population. To make matters worse the Southern Hemisphere is heading into it's flu season, which could see Covid19 mutate with a common flu strain, making it even more infectious.

Nature is forcing us all to take a look at just how vulnerable we are, and how easy we can be sent into mass hysteria, imo this is a wake up call for governments globally to change their attitude and put people before fiscal policy. A global recession is the next phase of this Pandemic and no amount of money printing is going to avoid that, it will get very much worse before it gets better, best be prepared.

Sorry for the gloomy outlook, but it is the reality of the situation.

Israel is said to be developing a vaccine that should be out in a few weeks.

The better course to take for the EffWun Circus would to simply delete the 2020 season and schedule several test days for the teams to get a solid grasp of the 2021 regulations and develop the cars for that year.
No spectators and team personnel limited, but at least some Television Coverage to keep some interest alive.

If all goes as planned, the vaccine could be ready within a few weeks and available in 90 days.

I am sad to see loss of Dutch GP, i have looked forward to seeing the return of Zandervort. Spain is not exiting as it is a test track so teams become to familiar. As for Monaco its the worst track on the calendar. The only reason it survives is it is beautiful to look at and take pictures. And it has wealth and Money. So they can throw as much as Liberty Media want to host event. Monaco is like start, crash (maybe a pile up) pace car. Crash (maybe Pile up) pace car. And it takes time to fix barriers that stalls the race. So you spend about 50% under pace car. And that is not racing. But there is a Nostalgia as its been there since the 40s. So we loose one good track and 2 usless ones. Not to mention the other tracks of the calendar.

The Monte Carlo Grand Prix has been run in Monaco from the 1920s, not as 'EffWun' but certainly by the leading drivers and manufacturers under the premier regulations of the time.
The one and only non F1 race was 1953 IIRC and that was run for sports cars.
Monaco has always been THE Premier Grand Prix, today the circuit is still fine, the dumb as a bag of rocks 'cars' are the problem.

The problem is teams have started work on 2021 new airo that is now 2022. So teams will run 2019 cars. No real change in regulations. Maybe engine development and minour tweaks. But 2022 will see the new airo and it may work. we cant say tell we see it on track.
