however above it has just been said that the 4 motors are all the same, maybe I misunderstood
No similarities between them and no change in performance

Honda engine = 2020 Honda engine
Renault engine = 2020 Renault engine
Ferrari engine = 2020 Ferrari engine
Mercedes engine = 2020 Mercedes engine

As per the performance values in the files, the engines are equal. The upgrade curve may vary, but the pure engine performance is equal top tier. Ferrari MyTeam engine is more powerful than the regular Ferrari engine equipped in Ferrari, Alfa and Haas as Codemasters said they did not want to "ruin the balance and the player experience" after the Ferrari engine was nerfed in October.
Also Honda, Renault and Mercedes are equal in pure performance. I would have to check the quali mode (the max fuel value that for Mercedes is 1.08 and for others 1.07) to see if there is a difference.

To Gami Os & Alibec: the realistic damage mod makes damage more sensitive to all the cars, it is said but not confirmed that, even if you run the simulation damage, the computer runs in full mode. If you run it in reduced or off it should change accordingly but still more sensitive than the original game.

Also, I don't know if updates will come after Montecarlo, maybe I will give a little boost to the aero of Ferrari to let them compete in technical circuits, but it will not come soon due to work commitments and lack of spare time

I am now working on update 1.9, which will be tested throughout the week.
Ferrari aero increased along with its drag to emphasize strength in slow tracks and struggle in fast tracks.
Red Bull and Mercedes not equal anymore but balanced: RB has more drag, Merc less aero to mix things up. Changes are minimal, so they will still be the strongest cars on the grid.
McLaren aero increased just a bit so they don't fall behind Ferrari.
Damage sensitivity for realistic damage mod decreased a bit, we'll see how it goes.
Various tweaks to midfield and low field.

Hopefully next week! I just need to work on the files for the copypaste versions and the vanilla damage one, it will only be boring monkey business as the mod is ready in the realistic damage version I play with, I just need to find a spare couple of hours! :)
Ah I see. Well ty for the effort, I'll be looking forward to next update.

Hello, I'm checking out your mod. It looks good, just one advice.
From what I understand of the values, in the base game the mercedes engine is the strongest, but has weaker upgrades (if all teams get the same r&d points, the other engines will close the distance).
I think you mixed up the Ferrari engine in that regard (assuming you didn't plan to do it). If you check line 1239 of the Ferrari file: <Upgrade name="radUpgradeEngine"> .. it has the upgrades value of the Mercedes instead of the new Ferrari. So Ferrari has a weaker engine and in opposite to Renault also weaker upgrades if people play a career.

These are the original (new version) Ferrari values, line 1242 forward, for the upgrade-tag if you need them:

Are these the update values for the new Ferrari engine (after the patch) or for the old Ferrari engine (pre-patch)?

They are after the patch. I don't know which upgrade values Ferrari had originally before the patch, but I assume lower ones because generally all tier2 (weaker) engines seem to have in exchange higher upgrade values than the (tier1) mercedes engine in the game.
