F1 2019 F1 2019: Full Classic Car List Revealed and New Trailer

F1 2019 has a brand new trailer! If that wasn't enough, Codemasters have also revealed the full list of historic car content available for the title.

With the latest Formula One game from Codemasters set to release some two months earlier than usual - right in time for the Austrian Grand Prix, fans are understandably eager to find out as much as possible about what the title has in store for us this June 28th - and Codemasters have been kind enough to oblige with a brand new trailer and historic content reveal.

“Every year we make great strides so the game is as authentic and immersive as possible and we have surpassed expectations with the quality of the visuals in F1 2019,” said Lee Mather, F1 Game Director at Codemasters. “We also know from fan feedback the classic cars our community want to race and we hope the returning roster, alongside the new vehicles from the Legends and Anniversary editions, will give them the choices they crave.”

As can be seen in the above list, Codemasters certainly have plenty of the history of the sport covered with their classic content list, however I must admit I'm a little bit disappointed about the quantity of recycled content from the previous game. At the premium price tag F1 2019 is sure to attract, I would personally have liked to see a little more "new" old content brought in with this release.

Saying that, don't forget that F1 2019 will have something brand new for this year - the inclusion of F2 for the very first time, both playable in truncated form in career mode, and full seasons in the single player championship mode.

Although we haven't got a date just yet, stay tuned to RaceDepartment in the next couple of weeks as we are planning a little trip down to Codemasters new studio to get our hands on the new game and speak with the developers directly - so if you have anything you want me to ask, drop a line in the comments section below and I'll try and fit it into the conversation!

I really wish they would also add all the classic cars from their 2013 game, it had plenty of awesome cars.

I also wish they would have added a 2013 f1 car in their classic roaster since it's the last of the v8.

those are the "stock cars" so not the real life models. They will be updated before the game comes out.

There were too many classic cars and they dropped the less used ones

I believe they mentioned at a recent event that updated models/liveries will be coming.
Maybe along with the usual (game launch large patch) to fix issues

I don't expect it to be added as the Mission Winnow is a program by Philip Morris w/c is a tobacco company. I wish they put the 90th anniv logo instead, since they use it in Australia.

I know it perfectly, he was retired for the GP Australia but he was not excluded for the other races. There're still 5 weeks, nothing is impossible yet, we have to cross your fingers... but i agree with you, in the sense that if Codemasters doesn't add the "Mission Win Now" sponsor, they add instead "90YEARS".

Graphics look good......in a trailer they do, every year yeah!
When you get it, it looks a lot less and always have a white line around the car and other "loose" things.

Also; a lot of bugs that were there in 2014/15 and so on, still exist in the 2018 version, so I dont get my hopes up.

Last but not least; no VR........but when sitting in the car normally, you cant see the mirrors either(!!)
You can see that this game is made for the guys who use airbox view. You know, those guys who are the REAL racers and demand "laser scanned tracks because I only want the real simulation" (and put on all driving aids)........

So, I skip this year I think.

(Come on with those "disagree's", I collect them!)

Well I heard good things about 2018 but just couldn't bring myself to try it but I'm willing to give this a go if it's just for the 2019 tracks and we'll, the visuals look pretty great as a show piece if nothing else.

I will not "settle down" ..but who knows in the not too distant future, let's be contemplated not only with classic cars, but with complete Classic Seasons, or close to that. Who knows some already included in a release and others in DLC. They could launch the "new" game every 2 or 3 years, and add the Classic seasons and the seasons of the current years. At first, these would be my classic seasons. The first, where it all began, 1950 (Alfa Romeo, Ferrari), 1955 (rivalry, Fangio, Moss), 1957/1958 (The last of Fangio, world's first builders, beginning of cars with rear engines, Vanwall, Maserati, Ferrari , BRM, Lotus, Cooper). 1965 (the last with 1.5-liter engines, big duels Clark, G.Hill, Surtees, Brabham), 1967/1968 (it was 3 liters, beginning of the sponsors besides the oil companies, and tires, first wing). 1972/1973 (great duels E.Fittipaldi and Stewart, Cevert, Peterson, initiate of new great pilots, 1976 (Lauda duel and Hunt, movie Rush), 1982/1983 (epic Championship of the turbo era), 1986/1987/1988 Piquet, Mansell, Prost, Senna and end of the turbo era), 1991 (Battle of Senna and Mansell, rise of M.Schumacher), 1993/1994 (End of scene Prost and Senna, beginning of M.Schumacher era), 1996/97 (Williams domain), 1999/2000 (duels Hakkinen and M.Schumacher), 2004/2005/2006 (end of the M.Schumacher era, Alonso's rise), 2007/2008/2009 (Ferrari vs McLaren, the great surprise, Team Brawn).
