Codemasters have deployed build 1.16 of F1 2018 to all platforms.

Having been a little bit quiet in recent weeks with their latest Formula One game, Codemasters have taken a break from DiRT Rally 2.0 hype to put out a new build of the popular Grand Prix racing title - deploying build V1.16 to Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC versions of the game.

Although not considerable in size, the new update addresses a key issue with tyre temperature inconsistencies under different FPS circumstances.

From the update notes:

Patch 1.16 is now live on Steam, and contains an update for a tyre physics issue, where the temperatures behaved differently depending on frame rate.

The fix will bring temperature behaviour in line across all three platforms, PC, PS4 and Xbox One, and regardless of frame rate. As we’ve previously commented, we log and assess all user feedback which we receive via any of our channels. In some situations we’re able to act upon issues more readily than others, depending on the complexity and development requirements. In this instance we felt we could quickly and safely apply an important fix which will impact upon the validity of players performance in game.

Is this worth buying? I have F1 2017 already. Before that F1 2010,2011, 2015. Or should I wait until F1 2019?

None the less can't wait to get my hands on DiRT Rally 2.0!
Depends on what you expect. If you need to get the latest F1 with more accurate specs (they used more real data for the cars), with less stupid setups, F1 2018 is worth a buy.
If ypu don't care, just stick with F1 2017.

If you like the classic cars of f1 2017 and want more of them and older ones, from the 70s and the 80s tubo era, passing through the ground effect era, it's worth a buy.

Anyway, if you have f1 2017, my advice is to get f1 2018 on sale.

If you are not in a hurry, it may be a good idea to wait the news about F1 2019's features. But in 2019 you will ask wether you should wait for F1 2020...

I have never owned a Codemaster game but could someone give me a short but honest assesment of the tire model/car behavioring compared to as example Raceroom or rF2.
Does the cars behave more like an arcade game than as example the cars in these 2 sims?

EDIT: Sorry by arcade game I mean kinda sluggish and floating:)
