F1 2016 F1 2016 Engine wear?!

every race in career mode the engineer says power output from the engine is down due to wear. I shift up using the tone and shift down slowly is there anything else that can be causing this btw I'm with Mclaren honda

At least that's constructive. My engineer just keeps telling me about the weather... usually that's all us Brits talk about but I'm living in Malaysia now so put my nationality as Malaysian as the weather is the same here almost every day. Didn't seem to make any difference though....
