I woukd like to install all HD skins,
BUT I simply don't know where to put the skins?
I know some, but not all ...

ca2 = Caterham
fc2 = Force India
fe2 = Ferrari
hr2 = HRT
lr2 = Lotus
ma2 = Marussia
mc2 = McLaren
me2 = Mercedes
rb2 = Red Bull
sa2 = Sauber
tr2 = Toro Rosso
wi2 = Williams

Most veterans as you call us, would put the download together in the correct file structure for the game.

So assuming you know where you installed your own game files too, (as we wouldn't know) it becomes a no brainer to overwrite the pre-existing ones already present somewhere on your PC. C: drive? E: Games drive perhaps? Maybe an F: drive put aside especially for running F1 games. I personally wouldn't be able to give you the correct path to your Steam folder as I wouldn't know where it is.

Sorry, never meant as a personal attack. But i havent found any "beginners guide to modding". I've learned slowly by my self. Its fairly easy as everything is copy and paste (and backup!). I've been modding games since 1998 so i'm quite familiar with it. But it was a mess in the beginning
